That was my point i was trying to get across ..and i simply said if EXP33 wasnt on gamepass would it have sold more and the answer is yes ..and then all the weirdo burger flippers came up with all type of didfferent alternate reality versions to counter i was wrong!!

I think ppl saw the success of 33 and said “Ha! There it is guys! Everyone is wrong about gamepass killing sales of a game” when they know damn well most them sales come from OTHER platforms.

I dont even understand how this is even still a debatable topic when as you said, Microsoft themselves said Game Pass cannibalizes sales. We can't possibly ask for a more informed source.

Isn't the entire premise of Xbox Game Pass: “I don't have to buy this game”? Why do some people try to gaslight?

Gamepass gives the game visibility and limits the sales on Xbox. If it’s a good game, it will go on to sell on other platforms because of this visibility. If it’s a bad game though, then they will be in trouble because the Gamepass cheque only covers so much these days. If they don’t sell elsewhere, the game will flop. That’s why the devs celebrate sales so much.

Steam is also PC which also has Gamepass.
