My TV anorak brain is exploding right now! This is the original BBC2 Copper ident introduction for Red Dwarf: Holoship in 1992, then re-enacted by Network, BBC2 Northern Ireland and BBC2 Wales, who have the same announcer that introduced it originally on BBC2 Wales! Perfection!

Tonight at 9pm on BBC2. Episode 4 is the story of how we got to the Americas and made it our home… only I’ve never seen it told like this before. From footprints in New Mexico to the invention of farming and cities. Do tune in.

🚨 Wales is still owed BILLIONS in rail funding‼️ Projects like #HS2 that are *nowhere* near #Wales are being classified as England-and-Wales, meaning we miss out on vital funding that both Scotland and Northern Ireland get. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Plaid Cymru is the only party fighting for fairness for Wales.

There is a real possibility that the UK could fragment if nationalist leaders end up in power in Scotland, Northern Ireland and #Wales. These elections could have profound implications - not just for Wales and our public services, but for the future of the whole United Kingdom.

White people in England and Wales are to become the minority by 2057. The same is being done to Belfast and Northern Ireland It isn’t racist to simply observe and put in to words what is before your very eyes

Stop Using Copper Mugs And Thermoses Copper is ending up in more and more kitchenware right now, such as copper mugs, copper thermoses, copper water containers, and people think it is a positive thing. It is not. Copper can leach into the drink contained in these copper dishes, and then that copper ends up going right into the body and right into the brain. This is one more way toxic heavy metals get in. So if it were me, I would not be drinking water out of copper mugs or thermoses, not in a million years. Just because something is popular does not mean it is helping you. Brain Saver Brain Saver Protocols Neurological Free Download HMD Free Download

Here are 3 ways that the current system screws over Wales. If politicians are not talking about these issues, they are not serious about fixing Wales' problems. ---------- 1. The Welsh Gov has less borrowing powers than a council. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Wales can only borrow £150m a year (and £1bn in total). That is the equivalent of just 0.57% of our budget. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scotland can borrow £450m a year (and £3bn in total). This makes it really hard for Wales to make big investments like building hospitals and schools unless we use super expensive funding models like PFI. The worst thing is, Scotland's borrowing rates have increased with inflation every year since 2016 whereas Wales' have been frozen! ---------- 2. Wales’ can’t even spend its own money If Wales makes good financial decisions and has money left at the end of the year, it is only allowed to carry over a very small amount. The total the Welsh Government can have in the reserve is £350m. While that might sound like a lot, it really isn’t in a government context. The Welsh Government’s budget is £27bn. This means that the Welsh reserve is just 1.35% of its budget. And that £350m isn’t per year, that is the total it can carry. This means that if the Welsh Government reserve is full, then any money that isn’t spent is just taken back by the Treasury in Westminster. What makes this system even worse is that the UK Treasury has imposed limits on how much of its own reserves Wales can even use! Of the £350m Wales can only access £175m a year. Scotland has a reserve of £700m AND it has no limit on how much of that it can spend. Plus yet again, Scotland’s was linked to inflation whereas Wales’ wasn’t. There is simply no justification for Wales being treated differently to Scotland. The UK Government isn’t able to get away with treating Scotland like Wales because the Scots wouldn’t stand for it. ---------- 3. Rail Because rail is devolved in Scotland, when the UK Government spends money in England on rail, Scotland gets extra cash. Scotland gets billions of pounds in extra funding because of HS2 (which is only in England). But because rail isn’t devolved to Wales, the Treasury can class HS2 as an “England and Wales project” meaning Wales gets nothing. It is worse than that. Because HS2 is counted as a Welsh project, it stops Wales getting extra money in the future because on the spreadsheet it looks like Wales has already had investment (even though it all went to England). ---------- You could have the best politicians in the world in Cardiff Bay but they still couldn’t fix Wales’ problems because the tools at their disposal are not fit for purpose. The challenges Wales faces are not because of immigrants, they are because the system of funding we have is set up so that we can’t fail to fail.

🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: President Trump is going full IRISH UNITY mode, saying he'd love for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to join as one "I don't wanna cause any problems, but I'd LOVE to see it unified. I have friends on both sides. Great people. They're Irish people, how can they be bad, right? I'd love to see it unified. It'd be great...it's gonna happen eventually." 47 seems VERY confident this will happen. This comes after the US has been neutral on the issue for decades, and some leaders from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland want to secede 👀 Trump was in Ireland all this past weekend, and is now back at the White House working hard! What's a Trump trip without ruffling feathers on the world stage 😅

Something I hear a lot is that Wales gets a really good deal when it comes to funding in the UK. In some ways that is true. We get about £1.20 for every £1 spent on things like health in England. However, this is only part of the story. Though Wales gets more money per person on things like benefits etc, we are massively underfunded when it comes to Research and Development funding. Wales gets a fraction of UK Gov R&D funding compared to other parts of the UK. This is the sort of investment that actually improves prosperity and drives well paid jobs. Funding Wales gets for health is automatic whereas R&D is where the UK Government gets a choice on spending. Where they have a choice, they choose to shortchange Wales. If Wales was a sick person the current system keeps us on life support and stops us from dying while never allowing us to get better. Without changes to this funding formula, there is no way that whoever forms the next Welsh Government will be able to fix Wales’ problems. R&D funding should be more fairly distributed if this is to truly be a “United” Kingdom.
