My Two Mumbai’s

People still think visiting such places is an achievement. Religion has become a business. Devotion has become a show-off.

As I read somewhere… touching the feet of god can only take you closer to the feet and not god himself

I am a pious and a staunch practising Hindu Brahmin. Never went to Lalbaug or GSB. Most idols are of PoP, celebrities treated with exception, too commercial, haven't understood the blaring music/dance on arrival/"Visarjan". The Lord never differentiates, never appreciates it.

The reason why I don't like to visit Lalbaug and also other pandals for that matter. Bhagwan sab jagh wahi hai...jahan Shanti se darshan kar sako, wahi Karo....

This is everywhere in india

This is one of the reason why I hate god.. if there truly was a god he would have made sure everyone were fair and just.. there is no god.. there is however nature.. it's better to focus on what nature tell us rather than all these things.

One gives 80% revenues to the pandal so exclusivity is bought, the other gives 20% revenues & 100% devotion. In today's world revenues triumph over devotion.

Why can’t we go to agiary? Isn’t that also a place of worship?

Unfortunately, Parsi Temples are private trusts & the Trust makes up their own rules to decide who can enter. Much like a private club It is not a religious issue More a mindset issue (which is thankfully changing) In Iran (Persia) people of all religions can visit a Fire Temple

That is the reason why I did not go to Lalbagcha Raja's darshan EVER in 25 years of stay in Mumbai and I will not go in future also. It has been completely commercialized. I feel sorry for the people.
