Major flooding in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras yesterday and it isn't for the first time this month. Seeing scenes like this becoming more common is really worrying. Climate change is making these extreme weather events hit harder, with warmer air holding more moisture and bringing heavier rainfall in a shorter space of time. Flooding like this is happening more often, leaving people to clean up and rebuild again and again. This isn’t something happening far away in the future, it’s happening right now.

Northern Italy is becoming a hotspot for giant hail, and climate change is playing a major role. The unsettling footage from yesterday is something we are seeing more and more often. A warmer atmosphere contains more energy and more moisture. When thunderstorms form, they can produce incredibly powerful updrafts that carry water droplets high into freezing air. The longer they remain suspended, the more layers of ice they collect, growing into enormous hailstones before finally falling to the ground. Northern Italy's geography makes it especially vulnerable. The Po Valley traps hot, humid air from the Mediterranean against cooler air spilling down from the Alps, creating the perfect conditions for intense supercell thunderstorms. As temperatures continue to rise, that contrast is becoming even more extreme. Ironically, rising temperatures can melt smaller hailstones before they reach the ground, turning them into rain. The largest hailstones, however, fall so quickly that they survive the journey, striking the ground with tremendous force. Research suggests that Northern Italy is seeing one of the fastest increases in severe hailstorms anywhere in the world. We are not simply witnessing bigger storms. JUST IN 🇮🇷🇺🇸: Very Clear Footage of Iran's Air Defense Hitting a U.S. F-18 BUT this does show the jet was able to keep flying after getting hit. It also looks like it was grazed not fully hit. More information will come out. Either way this is crazy to see.

I developed a meter to measure Co2 and particles for Covid cautious people. It is very popular in China. Now I made an English version of it. 🔻It contains a NDIR co2 sensor and a laser particle sensor. 🔻It shows particle quantity per liter, which is very rare in the market. It can give you more information when the air quality is 0μg/m3. 🔻It can be connected to an app on your phone through Wi-Fi. 🔻If you have a Tuya smart plug and connect it with the air purifier, you can set an automation to start/close the air purifier based on Co2 or PM2.5 reading on the meter. I haven't started to manufacture, if you have any suggestion, please let me know.

A cold start to 2026 is looking more likely on the weather models and it could bring some proper cold with temps well below normal. At present risk of snow in Ireland is low but that can quickly change if the cold air does push down. Animation shows upper air temp forecast.
