I get it, "Singing our cover of Iris" is almost like they're claiming ownership, but it's just the phrasing. For some reason, rephrasing it to "Singing along to our cover of Iris" makes it totally fine to me.. I'm sure that's what he meant. Can't really blame him for not phrasing it perfectly, considering the massive crowd of people behind him.
