Savannah said, "Talk to her and you will see." Clearly they believe she could be alive and in the hands of her abductors. Savannah said they are ready to talk. I have been involved in 3 kidnapping cases in 28 years. The demands came right away, not after 3 days. This note was fashioned by BAU, no doubt. Try to establish some empathy for the hostage. Open lines of communications. Indicate you are ready to negotiate. All of that was done. It still makes no sense that after 3 days and after LE is so involved that a ransom demand would come now. Normally, contact would have been made with the family right after the abduction and before LE was contacted. This case is rubbing against my experience and does not meet with other kidnapping cases I was involved with or studied. Again, if this is a hoax, it is the cruelest hoax I have seen.
