An asteroid the size of three football fields is heading toward Earth It’s the asteroid “God of Chaos,” which is expected to approach the planet in about three years. By space standards, it will pass very close — closer than some satellites — and may even be visible without a telescope. NASA classifies it as a potentially hazardous object, but that doesn’t mean a collision is expected — it simply means it’s being closely monitored.
