A Baby's Lullaby in Sickness In the cradle, I lie, so small and weak, My chest heaves with each cough, so deep. My nose is blocked, I cannot breathe, I wish for air, so pure and sweet. Mommy's hands, so soft and warm, Gently rub my tiny form. She hums a tune, a lullaby, To chase away the tears I cry. The room is dim, the night is long, I feel so tired, something's wrong. But Daddy's here, with a story to tell, Of brave knights and a magic spell. They say it's just a cold, it will pass, But right now, it feels like it will last. Yet in their eyes, I see no fear, Only love, so strong and clear. So I close my eyes, and try to sleep, Hoping that tomorrow, I'll feel complete.
