I never would have done this in a million years. It would have taken me three hours just to set it up, and then being able to actually participate... it just wouldn't have happened. I'm a pretty social guy, and I enjoy people and hearing their stories and just being able to talk with others, meet new people. It's been fantastic." A man who got his social life back. He described receiving the N1 implanted in his frontal cortex with 64 threads, each containing 16 electrodes. He explained how his motor cortex continues to produce usable signals and Neuralink translates these signals into digital commands, enabling him to control computers with his thoughts and operate independently despite his paralysis. Per Noland, "People come first. We need to make sure that what we're doing is improving the lives of people with disabilities. We're helping them first, and then an enhancement can come."
