A solid and uniform base is crucial for a shoe to effectively transfer construction loads to the ground. When soil becomes saturated, it can lose resistance, leading to settlements that may result in cracks and structural deformities. A well-compacted gravel layer not only provides a stable surface but also separates the cement from damp soil and promotes proper drainage. This foundation supports the reinforced concrete shoe, which is vital for bearing the loads of columns and walls. Tailored solutions that consider soil type, structural loads, and specific cement designs are essential for ensuring the integrity and longevity of the construction project.

And this right here is a prime example of why you never rent an exotic vehicle to them. Just because they have some money to spend, doesn’t mean you should take it… otherwise you’ll end up with your rental out of commission and that ends up costing you a-lot more in the end.

Mark Carney said shovels for high speed rail could be in the ground in 4 years. The govt has already handed over $3.9B and not a single meter of track has been laid. This thing will end up costing Canada hundreds of billions and will never be completed.

Research on CA fires shows a majority of the extra burned area in recent years is explained by a moisture gap (vapor pressure deficit). Warmer air expands the capacity to hold moisture and demands that extra moisture from vegetation. Over the long term that drys the ground out.

This is Ngong Suswa. We have been conned here. Look at that thin tarmac and the significant repairs on a newly finished road. This will be a cash cow because of constant repairs. In a proper country the contractor, engineers and government supervisors would be behind bars now

Many golfers are wearing shoes that are too long because they’ve added length when they actually needed more width. We’ve tested hundreds of golfers on force plates, and shoe fit is a detail worth checking. If the foot slides forward excessively inside the shoe, it can affect both the amount and timing of force a golfer applies to the ground.
