A month ago, a frying pan caught fire in my apartment and the fire spread through my kitchen/living room. It was terrifying, extremely dangerous and honestly pretty traumatic. Thank God I didn’t suffer any physical injuries, but my apartment was badly damaged and it had a huge

impact on my mental health. The craziest part is that the second I saw the fire, I immediately thought of this video 😭 Thank god I did because I remembered: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, POUR WATER ON A FIRE. It honestly could have been fatal

I just acted on pure survival instinct and did whatever I could, especially after realizing that, unlike Taylor, I didn’t have a fire extinguisher at home🤡 The fire even spread across my ceiling before eventually going out. It’s been a month now and I’m still dealing

with the aftermath. Not just the physical damage, but the mental part too. I constantly feel like something is burning in my apartment. I wake up in the middle of the night convinced something is on fire. It took me a month to cook again and I’m still absolutely terrified.

So please: be careful about what you keep around your stovetop, HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER AT HOME, NEVER POUR WATER ON A GREASE FIRE, and get checked by a doctor after a fire to make sure you haven’t suffered any physical damage. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones❤️
