She seems like a genuine, good person. I don't think this is malicious. The comment she is saying doesn't make much sense though when 60%+ of the WNBA is black.

Whoever told her to do this for her “brand” couldn’t have got it more wrong - the other players will still hate her (maybe even more now for the pandering), and she’s turned-off a large portion of her actual fans.
