My little buddy Chester used to do that all the time. We called him "Chester Chicken Wings."

That means he is sick. Cats lay like that when they have heart trouble to try and warm themselves up. I hope he isn’t but one of our cats did this for a few years before he got really sick and we told our vet he did this. Then the vet explained why.
