My mother died yesterday. Was told this morning that she passed in her sleep and the notion of loss has been tugging at my sleeve throughout the day. The sense that, maybe, I should be panicking, perhaps I should be tremulous and inconsolable. I don't know what I feel. A bit sad, a bit lonely. It's complex when the relationship with your parent is not Disney. Compounded by the sleekit suggestion that I should be feeling more.
