This is amazing when you compare it to today's news. Check out how differently the news covered a vaccine 17 years ago. 2009. CBS News reports on the progress of the vaccine for the swine flu. They reported that some people were hesitant to trust the vaccine and showed how it was for good reason. A vaccine in 1976 had killed 25 people. Even back then Fauci acknowledged the truth about vaccines, that they never really know what will happen. No condescending, arrogant TV hosts wagging their fingers, shaming people, or shouting to "trust the science."
