New examples processed with the sigmaPBR solver just landed! Want to try it on your own photogrammetry or photometric scan data? Let me know, beta testing is still open.

More examples in the gallery:

Amazing, is the roughness fully reconstructed from the scans?

Yes, this is a totally raw example directly from the solver, without manual cleanup or any other adjustments

This is beautiful.

wow, looks totally how it suppose to be. Flawless.

Insane details, Piotr. Wow!

Thanks a lot Reyn!

this poor spooly boy has been neglected </3

I have lots of natural rock formation scans that I would love to try this on!

Crazy

holy molly 😳

Purely magic. Do you think it would work on Gaussian Splats made from synthetic data?

Can you tell more about that? What is the point in this case since you already have all maps in synthetic data? This is for reconstructing PBR maps from a real life scans.

PBR maps generated by AI diffusion models aren't that accurate, having something that fixes that as if they were scanned would probably get us close to something interesting. I wouldn't need to scan a real Church Bell, or use a Standard DIT model to generate it. A video model in Lissajous orbiting arround a reference would pretty much get us what we need, combining it with your tech would probably get me something way better than what I have currently. There's another company working on a similar project as yours but I forgot the name and it was closed source unfortunately.

wow , that looks so damn good. Out of curiosity what would happen if you tried to apply it to an artist authored asset? would it work ?

Amazing tech, but sorry this video in particular just looks like a Fallout 4 loading screen 😭

That was a fun game though!

Holy moly I would love to try this myself. Is there a specific scanning process you use or is it more or less “just take a lot of photos” like the free photogrammetry apps?

can the scan data be a non metallic object? Like something organic (food, wood etc)?

Yes, it will work and I will show more examples like that soon. Very strong SSS and translucency are not supported yet so the normals might be more blurred and biased than they should be.

Can't wait to see those, amazing work!

wait so it's just a scan, and the scan itself returns pbr maps directly instead of a single color information ? that's crazy, where can I read about the tech. Is it all in software or do we need to use a specific techniques while taking pictures of the subject

This looks very useful!

Amazing.

Hi, do you have any examples from nature? Leaves, tree bark etc. Thanks!

Hi Martin, I will post nature examples soon also scanned with handheld rigs outside the studio, they will work pretty well too.

How the fuck did you do this, explain yourself

dayumn! that s indistinguishable from reality !

Love to try it on manufacturing parts.

I'd love to try this out! Where can I sign up for beta access?

I would love to beta test this. I typically use zephyr or COLMAP.

Jesus Christ, this outstanding

Will this also be usable for a metallic PBR workflow and is it going to be affordable for mortal hobbyist users?

Does this work on an entire scene (like a messy kitchen) or just smaller objects? I have a dataset available if you want to take a look.

Incredible detail

@DanyBittel It is impressive, indeed! I would like to beta test it, if it is possible. Thank you!

Does it do lots of open spaces like branches and leaves

Incredible ; interested in beta testing ! thanks

Me please

No way! What is this! I want to know more!

What do you use for scaning objects?

Very interested to try
