Logo rebrands need to be similar and fairly basic. The BMW logo has been virtually the same with only minor changes, since its creation in 1917. Marketing HEAVILY relies on one’s ability to easily recall the product or service. You deviate entirely from the original, virtually unchanged logo, and you’ll backtrack DECADES of masterful marketing that has given the brand its track record as a luxury performance oriented brand.

BMWs Logo is unlikely to Change. BMW Stands for "Bayrische Motoren Werke" (Bavarian engine Manufactureing) The blue White checkering in the Logo is Bavarias official flag since multiple hundred years. Its Like taking the Cote of Arms of Stuttgart Out of Porsches Logo...

No. The BMW badge is a spinning propeller for its aviation history, with the blue diamonds of the Bavarian coat of arms. Its far smarter than that rubbish, and it's over a hundred years old.
