You cannot believe in a law and order philosophy and say it applies to everybody except Donald Trump. In any sane society, anyone who is a convicted felon should step aside. The rules of GOP should provide that if their nominee is convicted of a crime their candidacy should end.

A pro-Palestine protest in Montreal is now drawing outrage after footage appeared to show an effigy of a visibly Jewish person wearing a kippah hanging from a rope. There is a massive difference between opposing Israel’s government and using imagery that appears to depict Jews being hanged. Tomorrow, Sinn Féin’s Justice spokesperson Matt Carthy TD brings forward an important bill which will ensure that if someone is convicted of a crime of sexual violence, a court could impose an order restraining the convicted person from approaching the victim on release. We hope there will be cross party support for this Bill, which is about supporting victims and survivors as they rebuild their lives.

In his own words, "I'm just a regular guy who didn't like what I saw. It shouldn't be celebrated, what I did, it should be normal. Every one should react like that. These are people who committed their crimes in the name and in the interest of Donald Trump, and he's returned the favor by pardoning them. That sends one message to them, a message I'm equally concerned about is the message that it sends to law enforcement. Supporting law enforcement should not be a political issue. It should not be a Republican, Democrat, red blue thing.
