That's right, Josh is still hung up on the Browns evaluation of Jaxson Dart after all the time the team spent with the former Ole Miss Rebel. "The Browns went on dates with every single one of these quarterbacks, and Dillon Gabriel is the one they came away saying, 'That's who we want to be in a relationship with.' And then I go out and watch Jaxson Dart making pro-level NFL throws three game into his career."

This Risacher fall is similar to what we saw with Russ pushing Ajay Mitchell after he was in the air. Gillespie got his pass stolen, which can be embarrassing, and it can lead to players wanting to "get the guy back" and not realize how dangerous even a slight push to an airborne player, or a player on one leg moving up into the air, can be. It was also fascinating to hear how each team's announcers analyzed the play, with the Hawks guys recognizing the danger of the slight push while the Suns focus on Risacher hanging on the rim at full speed (they clearly are concerned and feel terrible about the fall). Let's be clear: players cannot be pushing guys like this, even slightly. The offensive player has the advantage, there was NO chance for Gillespie/Russ to prevent the shot, and the risk for severe injury is too great. This doesn't happen hardly at all, but we should never see it happen at any level of basketball, which is why I feel plays like this could merit a penalty after the fact, like a one game suspension.

Right now, Kashawn Aitcheson is dominating juniors the way a top prospect should, but as we all know, the NHL is a whole different animal. The biggest question mark for him is still his skating. He’s improved, but the feet can get a little wide in transition and his mobility will be tested. Gap control, decision making under pressure, and staying disciplined is what separates good junior D from reliable NHLers. When he finally does turn pro, he’s going to take his lumps, high PIMs in juniors have shown that. Pro hockey will force him to channel his snarl without the extra (sometimes boneheaded) penalties. With that said, I wanted to put together a realistic timeline and set tempered expectations for him over the next few seasons. 2026-27: He’s in Hamilton full time. Expect him to log big minutes on the power play, keep producing points at a solid clip (maybe the 30-45 range) and up the physicality that makes fans love him. Defensively, he’ll tighten up with pro coaching, but there will be nights where the game will look too fast and he’s going to get caught. Maybe he’ll get a couple of NHL call ups for injuries, but he’s not forcing his way into the lineup yet. Next season is all about development. 2027-28: I think he could still be splitting time between Hamilton and the #Isles, or he could earn a bottom pair role right away depending on how the blueline shakes out. By the end of this year, I’d expect him to be a regular NHL contributor. 2028-29: My expectation is that he’s now a full time NHLer logging heavy minutes, killing penalties, and giving us roughly 30-40 points, with a ton of hits and blocks. This isn’t a guy who steps in and runs the power play as a rookie, this isn’t Schaefer. No one is. Aitcheson’s path should be a patient one. The Islanders didn’t draft him to rush him, they drafted him to be a long term piece of the future. When it clicks, I think he’s going to be exactly the kind of nasty, productive defenseman we dream of. Just don’t expect it overnight. Development like this rewards patience.

Thank you for coming here. Thank you for taking the time and listening to my story. What I really want to say is "Life is hard" no matter what industry you are in, especially as an entertainment worker. When I have the opportunity to be here with you, I would like to pass on a message that "Life is so hard." And sometimes we all want to be 'perfect', right? Brian Chesky explains how Airbnb solved the chicken-and-egg problem “Marketplaces are incredibly defensible at scale, and maybe it’s because they’re incredibly hard to start. And the problem is simple - they call it the chicken and egg problem.” As Brian explains, it was tough to bootstrap Airbnb in the beginning because travelers couldn’t book homes if there was no inventory, and homeowners didn’t want to list their homes unless people were going to book them. “We didn’t know what to do for a while .We tried a lot of different things. And I can tell you what worked. Summer of 2008, the press announces that Barack Obama is moving from a 20,000 seat basketball arena to an 80,000 seat football stadium. And we said, that’s our shot. You have 60,000 people that don’t have housing, surely at least a few of them are going to need a place to stay… And so we literally started with local people in Denver. Then we started emailing bloggers. We got the bloggers. Then the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News covered us. Then the local ABC and NBC and CBS affiliates. And then the Wall Street Journal. Then the New York Times and CNN are in our living room… We did that in a matter of three weeks.” Brian continues: “We started these little infernos. You start getting a few users here, a hundred here, fifty there… And we did the same thing with the inauguration. And when you have a hundred people here and there, then you obsessively meet them… Paul Graham, our first investor, said it’s better to have a hundred people love you than a million people kind of like you. And the reason why is it’s really hard to build off of a really wide but shallow base. And the problem is simple - they call it the chicken and egg problem.” As Brian explains, it was tough to bootstrap Airbnb in the beginning because travelers couldn’t book homes if there was no inventory, and homeowners didn’t want to list their homes unless people were going to book them. “We didn’t know what to do for a while .We tried a lot of different things. And I can tell you what worked. Summer of 2008, the press announces that Barack Obama is moving from a 20,000 seat basketball arena to an 80,000 seat football stadium. And we said, that’s our shot. You have 60,000 people that don’t have housing, surely at least a few of them are going to need a place to stay… And so we literally started with local people in Denver. Then we started emailing bloggers. We got the bloggers. Then the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News covered us. Then the local ABC and NBC and CBS affiliates. And then the Wall Street Journal. Then the New York Times and CNN are in our living room… We did that in a matter of three weeks.” Brian continues: “We started these little infernos. You start getting a few users here, a hundred here, fifty there… And we did the same thing with the inauguration. And when you have a hundred people here and there, then you obsessively meet them… Paul Graham, our first investor, said it’s better to have a hundred people love you than a million people kind of like you. And the reason why is it’s really hard to build off of a really wide but shallow base. But with a hundred people, you can find out everything they want… You meet them, you spend a ton of time with them, and once they fall in love with your product, they’ll tell every one of their friends. Tommy says that Lauren Southern is lying about being violently raped and strangled by Tate (something women have consistently been saying Tate did to them for the past decade). He says that he saw her leave a hotel room with Tate the next morning kissing him. PROBLEM: Two other men, Caolan Robertson and George Llewelyn, went on this trip to Bucharest alongside Robinson and Southern. The New York Times says both of them reiterated Southern's version of events - that she told them in a taxi the next morning that Tate had violently assaulted her. Robertson says that he noticed marks on her neck. Member of Tommy Robinson's team at the time, Lucy Brown, "said that Ms. Southern had seemed out of character after her return from the trip, and that Mr. Robertson, Mr. Llewelyn and Ms. Southern all told her about the alleged assault" (NYT). This is not he said, she said. This is every single person involved saying that Southern expressed at the time in 2018 that Tate raped her, and Tommy Robinson contradicting everyone else. I was in Rocky Mountain House recently for a massive pro Alberta independence rally. Hundreds of people were waving Alberta flags and driving around town, and I found a small group of about seven pro-Canada counter protesters and decided to engage them. One man challenged me. He said that if Alberta independence loses, I should give up. I told him plainly that yes, if we lose, I will respect the will of the voters. Then I asked him the same question back. If Alberta wins, will you accept it? He reluctantly said yes, but the moment I pressed him on what percentage he would accept, he would not even engage with the argument. He would not clearly accept a majority. That tells you a lot. For too many on the pro-Canada side, this is not really about democracy. It is about imposing their will on Albertans who disagree with them, then using shame and fear to pressure us into silence. The second part of his argument was that the independence movement is hurting investment in Alberta. My answer was that Ottawa already did that and we have nothing to loose. His response was basically, if that is true, then why is Alberta still so rich and prosperous? My answer was simple: because we work hard, we have a lot going for us, and it takes a lot to sink us. But that does not prove Canada is working. It proves Alberta is strong enough to keep carrying a country that keeps dragging us down. I was in Rocky Mountain House recently for a massive pro Alberta independence rally. Hundreds of people were waving Alberta flags and driving around town, and I found a small group of about seven pro-Canada counter protesters and decided to engage them. One man challenged me. He said that if Alberta independence loses, I should give up. I told him plainly that yes, if we lose, I will respect the will of the voters. Then I asked him the same question back. If Alberta wins, will you accept it? He reluctantly said yes, but the moment I pressed him on what percentage he would accept, he would not even engage with the argument. He would not clearly accept a majority. That tells you a lot. For too many on the pro-Canada side, this is not really about democracy. It is about imposing their will on Albertans who disagree with them, then using shame and fear to pressure us into silence. The second part of his argument was that the independence movement is hurting investment in Alberta. My answer was that Ottawa already did that and we have nothing to loose.
