New onboarding paywall just dropped on Superwall! This is a 5 question template that's good for most apps that has been trimmed from a paywall someone requested with literally 40 pages. Should be pretty easy to adjust and extend.

Clandle has one of the best examples of good onboarding in an app. Onboarding - The first thing you see is a video demo → instant clarity on how the app works - It collects contextual data (ex: where you discovered the app) - It asks for a review midonboarding, leveraging early excitement to boost ratings Paywall - Seamless transition from onboarding to paywall - Clear pricing: €9.99/month - Strong incentives: 7 day free trial + 71% discount on the annual plan - Exit intent offer: close the paywall and get an 81% discount Onboarding is one of the most critical parts of any app. Make it interactive, dynamic, and optimized for conversion.

This is one of the smartest paywall techniques I’ve seen 🤯 This language-learning app is generating $700K/month, and its onboarding is incredibly well designed: • Just 9 questions • A cute mascot with polished animations • A simple explanation of how the app works But the paywall is the best part: The characters literally wave goodbye while asking you to subscribe 😂 I’d never seen that before, and the offer itself is pretty compelling too.

Duolingo is one of the best examples of good onboarding in an app. Onboarding - 7 questions to understand the user - Creates a personalised learning plan - Collects contextual data (like where the user hear about the app) - Introduces key features like widgets Paywall - Smooth transition from onboarding to paywall - The paywall feels like part of the experience, not a sales screen - Personalised based on the language selected - 7day free trial for the annual plan One of the most important aspects of an app is onboarding, so make it as interactive as possible.

If you want to build a great onboarding for your app. Checkout how indie ios goat Yoni Smolyar did it with Brainrot. Onboarding: – Starts with a video demo – Clearly shows the problem – Smooth animations & interactions – Collects user data early – Explains how the app solves it – Even asks for a review mid-onboarding Paywall: – Hard paywall – Close it → 50% discount – Close it again → 80% discount This is what high-converting apps look like.

Reminder: you can literally just build anything with a few prompts → add a paywall → crack a viral format → do it consistently And just like that retire your mother and future wife That’s pretty much how it went for me.

Headspace is one of the leading apps in the sleep and meditation space and its onboarding flow is a great example of how to do it right. This app is making $20k/month because it nailed its onboarding Onboarding - Cute, memorable mascot - Collects key user data - Strong retention tactics: personalized plan, breathing exercise, and relatable messaging - Asks for a review mid onboarding Paywall - 3 plans: monthly, 3-month, and annual - Close the paywall → 50% off - Close it again → “another” 50% off A well executed onboarding doesn’t just improve the user experience. It boosts conversions too. Start building yours with Anything.

We studied 2,995 paywalls. Interviewed 'The Paywall Guy' Jonathan Parra, who's designed 4,700+ paywalls. Analyzed 728 subscription flows on Mobbin. We found these and more: → An ugly paywall could outperform a pretty one → More friction could increase conversions → Users often decide to pay before they reach the paywall → Multi-page paywalls > single-page paywalls In this video, we break down: → real a/b tests → examples from best-in-class apps → paywall placement strategy → pricing + packaging → value framing → reducing risk → timing → copy This is one of the most research-heavy videos we've made. 🔍 'mobbin' on youtube

This is how one Cal AI onboards its users: Onboarding flow - Starts with a short demo video of the app - Includes deep personalization throughout - Full of animations and cool interactions - Prompts for a review mid-onboarding - Generates a personalized plan Soft paywall strategy: - Encourages a “free” trial (via annual plan) - Heavily pushes the annual plan with a 75% discount - Monthly plan without a trial If you want a high-converting onboarding, apply these strategies to your apps.

Grok undressed Renee Nicole Good, which even *it* knew was a violation federal law. Criminal images of young girls have also been generated with Grok. Now, the tool is merely behind a paywall. This and other reasons Grok Is everything that's wrong with AI.

This study app is crazy 😭 The onboarding alone probably converts better than most apps. Onboarding - Animal Crossing inspired theme - Feels like a game, not an app - Collects all the important user data - Asks for a review during onboarding - Lets you personalize your character Paywall - Pushes the annual plan first - Limited time 50% off offer - 3 day free trial If you build an app with this level of detail, conversions will go crazy. Start building yours with Anything

this dude 5x'd his conversion rate by making his onboarding LONGER. like way wayyyy longer! went from 20 screens (3% trial conversion) to a 10-15 minute onboarding flow (15% trial conversion). his app now does $40K/month. the psychology: loss aversion. by the time users hit the paywall, they've already invested 10+ minutes answering questions about themselves. they think "might as well give it a shot." every screen before the paywall is just building the case for why you should pay. an app is nothing more than a sales funnel.

i've been wanting to do this for awhile. I made a super easy portfolio template for those wanting more control over their portfolio at low cost (it's free - just pay for your domain). Designed to work with github pages (or firebase!) & to be super minimal work to add new artworks to it. It just involves editing a couple of .txt files!
