🚨 New pre-print!! We built a miniaturized device with an array of 4 micro-cameras that can each image multiple cortical areas in freely behaving mice. The mini-MCAM can image dozens of brain regions spread across >30 mm^2 of the cortical surface

The arrayed approach allows linear scaling in size and weight of the device, as compared to cubic scaling if a single imaging element is used. To facilitate wide area imaging, we also had to innovate a new cranial window covering whole dorsal cortex.

This work co-led by Jia Hu and @cherkkil, with contributions from @kapilsa20700690 @IbrahimOladepo @DanielSurinach and several others past and present in our group. Has been a fun collaboration with @HorstmeyerLab

Saw this on last year's SFN and it was cool. Any of the students involved in this project considered a PhD or Postdoc position?

Thanks Weijian. I think you met @cherkkil at SfN. He will be on the lookout for positions in a year or so.

Congratulations Suhasa!

Congrats! Pretty cool

Thanks Alex!
