Malachi Jordan is a name everyone needs to get familiar with in the 2027 class. 5⭐️ SF, 6’7 225lb playing for Dream City Christian HS, and the Oakland Soldiers on the EYBL Circut. 2028 5⭐️ Bartlett 6’6” SF DJ Okoth (Dj Okoth) ended an excellent sophomore season with a state championship. Ranked #11 overall at On3. Recently received an invite to the Team USA Junior minicamp. Okoth has an insane motor with great physical tools to complement. Great athlete that already has solid touch around the rim. Raw footwork + improving perimeter skills creates a high ceiling for Okoth, warranting him being labeled a top player in the 2028 class. Already holds an offer from Memphis + others and will be pursued by a ton of HMs after this Summer.

An international Source familiar with Miikka’s recruitment tells me a visit to Lexington could be back on the table as well. Miikka had scheduled a visit originally back in September of 2024, before it was cancelled. He then told KSR in June of 2025 he was planning a visit for the fall, but that never happened due to him moving overseas to play professionally. UNC, Arkansas, Michigan are the 3 other main schools involved, with potential LSU and new HC Will Wade could get re involved. Mark Pope is keeping his options open. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Next best C available according to NXN’s 2027 Top 100 Rankings. (#17) 4⭐️ Isaiah Hill. (IN) 7’0 205lb. Breakdown: Arguably the best shot blocker in high school. Really long arms, times his jumps well, and always stays straight up, doesn’t lean much while blocking shots he just takes them. Hes shown the ability to hold his own on the perimeter, that length definitely helps him out, his defensive IQ is just an added bonus to an already elite defensive player. Still has a ways to go to find his offensive game, but he’s come such a long way already. Adding a mid/3p jumper, extending the defense and working on his face up/handle, his hands and footwork both need work, not a reliable post up player yet, but you’re seeing the tools and the flashes of a modern C in today’s game, if he can take those tools to the next level he becomes one of the most complete C’s in HS overall. Lots of potential here. Kentucky hosted Isaiah for an unofficial but never extended an official offer. Indiana Kid, playing for Jeff Teague at Pike HS, sounds like he’ll be staying in state. He has scheduled official visits to Arizona and Louisville, although he plans to visit all 6 programs before making a decision early in his senior year: "Their pitch, their style of play, and the relationships that have been created with these coaches are the main things that have gone into it," Wabbington said. "I'm big on relationships and all of the schools in my top six have done a good job of creating relationships. I am also looking to see if I see myself playing for these schools and I feel that I do." On Kentucky: "Mark Pope, Cody Fueger, and Mo Williams have all reached out and expressed how they are going to play me. I see what they want to do for me. I could see for myself that it is what I would want to do at the next level. They are really interesting." "I will prioritize the relationships, Wabbington said of his deciding factors. "That is the real big part that is really important to me. The style of play and the school is also really important to me. I want to fit the program and play in an atmosphere where they have a lot of people at the games and the fans are really supportive." Ekezie is the son of former NBA center Obinna Ekezie Sr., who was a second-round draft pick and played six years in the league. Kentucky has made prior contact with the 4 C’s we’ll talk about today, but it might be too late to get in seriously with a couple of them. First up: (#11) 5⭐️ Paul Osaruyi. (AZ) 6’9 220lb. Breakdown: Has the highest ceiling of any of the bigs. A+ Motor/Athlete. Elite rebounder, always in the right position. Extremely versatile defender. Defends the perimeter, the paint, the rim. Very high defensive IQ. His offense is still coming along. He’s got good hands, he makes tough catches in traffic under the rim, he catches plenty of lobs, and he’s an elite rim runner who can catch and put the ball on the floor in the open court. NEW: Christian Gibson, a 6’6 4⭐️ G/F out of Houston, TX will re-open his recruitment, a source confirms to me. Might be news worth monitoring for BBN. Although never officially extended an offer before committing to UCF, Kentucky Assistant Coach Mikhail McLean watched Christian multiple times last AAU Season, and visited him at his school/in-home. An interesting connection worth noting: Although he transferred back home to Houston to finish his Senior season, he was originally enrolled at Tennessee Collegiate Academy, with Kentucky PG Commit, Mason Williams. NEW: Christian Gibson, a 6’6 4⭐️ G/F out of Houston, TX will re-open his recruitment, a source confirms to me. Might be news worth monitoring for BBN. Although never officially extended an offer before committing to UCF, Kentucky Assistant Coach Mikhail McLean watched Christian multiple times last AAU Season, and visited him at his school/in-home. An interesting connection worth noting: Although he transferred back home to Houston to finish his Senior season, he was originally enrolled at Tennessee Collegiate Academy, with Kentucky PG Commit, Mason Williams. Croatian F/C Michael Ružić has been receiving interest from Kentucky, per reports. But it sounds like BYU is leading to land the 7’ Big Man. LSU, Arizona State also mentioned to me. “BYU has been in on him since last year” Will be tough for Coach Pope to out-pitch some of these programs offering starting spots/Money. ACB Stats: • 5.1p, 3.4r, 16mpg. BCL Stats: 7.4p, 3.6r, 18mpg. International Scout on him: “I mean Ružić is one of the better available pickups right now. Playing some of the highest level of competition in the world and showing flashes especially as of late. Has been an NBA Prospect since he was 18. 7 footer with a jumper and great mobility, you can play him as a backup 5, or as a starting 4. NEW: Very surface level scouting report on Kentucky’s newest commit Ousmane N’Diaye from an international scout, plus my thoughts on his game. 👇🏻 “6’11/7’0, 215lb, 22 years old. - “He’s been a prospect on NBA radars for years but seemed to finally have hit his stride playing in Italy this season He’s clearly very skilled. Super twitchy, good jumper, moves very well for a big. Didn’t have the type of game that gelled well with European coaches, but can really be good in Mark Pope’s system. Would expect him to be a big time player on this roster this year, although it might take time to adapt initially” The market for C’s was always gonna be very tough, and expensive. I don’t mind reaching over to the International market for a 22 year old, who’s got the 4/5 versatility Mark Pope looks for in his frontcourt. You can see he’s got a reliable handle, he’s got an ability to turn a corner and get to the rim from the permitter, has the ability to post up from the 3/4th and get into his footwork/post moves without rushing, a capable shooter with good looking form. Extremely athletic. Can’t find many advanced stats, but from the tape I’ve seen, and the international scouts I’ve talked too, the consensus is this is a great multi year pickup for Kentucky, a guy that has the potential to develop quickly within the offense/system and be a legitimate contributor immediately. I wanna expand on Donnie Freeman, and my opinion of his game, and fit with Kentucky at PF. Undeniably versatile, now 6’10, 220lb, he’s got really tight handles for a big, he’s got a quick first step with either hand, good passer, capable shooter, Donnie is everything Coach Pope could seemingly want in the main guy who will be at the point, of getting back to the zoom offense. THAT would be my pitch to Donnie. Show him the Amari Williams Film, tell him you’ll be in these kinds of positions where the ball is in your hands most in the halfcourt, making high level reads/passes, etc. what makes him even more advanced is his ability to take guys off the dribble, his shooting ability mid range/3P, that’s exactly what Kentucky needs next to Malachi Moreno. Alabama is said to be involved, and met with him yesterday. I think the BG signing (which wasn’t cheap) MAY be a little bit of a “pivot” from Donnie’ they certainly can’t offer as much as Kentucky. UConn is interesting, they’re awaiting NBA/Return decisions from 3 Guards, they need a starting wing, they need a PF, and they need 2 C’s (in a market where they’re very expensive) UConn has the lowest offer of the 3. His camp apparently likes Hurley/Uconn. Kentucky is hosting Donnie on a visit today, reportedly through Thursday. I don’t think it’s a coincidence Jeff Goodman dropped the “potential” ‘UConn visit on Friday’, just one day before he gets on Kentucky’s campus. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was agent tactics, to publicly tell UK Staff, “let’s get this done while he’s on campus” Kentucky has the highest offer to Donnie by far. Let’s see if they can lock him up while he’s in Lexington. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

I’ve personally been very high on Evan, I currently have him #2 in 2028, without a doubt the best defensive player in the class, and his offensive game combined with his athleticism is coming along very quickly at a high level. He told me a really cool fact: “I lived in Lexington when I was a baby, 🤣 actually took my first steps there 😅” Evan always very respectful, nicely agreed to take some time to answer a few questions for BBN! This is a big one to watch Kentucky fans, show him love! 👇🏻 Q: Who reached out from Kentucky, how’d the conversation go? EW: Coach Pope and Coach McClean reached out. It was a great conversation.
