This is a old scam been well before scamming became legal now a days

That's why when I withdraw cash I count notes individually. That way any torn or soiled notes I can exchange at the counter. At times takes ages to count but worth the time spent in the bank.

This is just silly. No one should count the bill from a corner or one side. Count the bills by bill, if not just use a money counting machine.
