Thoughts on transferable skills. I was surprised reading the comments to Riley’s question about best UI animation tool for web. To anyone interested in diving into motion design I would strongly recommend - aim to become a motion expert, not Jitter/Rive/Lottie specialist. If you start from the foundations, jumping into any animation tool will feel like a walk in the park. Keyframes, easing functions, transformations - same concepts are shared between all of them. Getting to know the foundations on the web means starting with CSS, Tailwind or React Motion. I’m often creating small motion concepts in Figma (see video) and then recreating them manually in code. Any language, it doesn’t matter because principles are the same. I recently made the switch to Swift and built a small animation tool for myself (see video) that I’ll discard after I’m done with the motion. This level of comfortableness with motion gives you unmatched flexibility. From that point, tools are just interfaces for expressing something you already deeply understand. This is not about performance or technical optimizations (Lottie files can outperform CSS equivalents), tools mentioned above really are great - it’s about developing transferable creative skill that lets you think across any medium, platform or tool.

I work with shadcn/ui every day. I design with it, I build with it, and I see a lot of projects built with it. And honestly? Many of them look the same. Or worse - they look broken. Colors that clash. Fonts that don't pair. Dark modes that feel like an afterthought. The components themselves are great. The theming that people or AI make? Not so much. If you haven't seen Mr. Robot, I suggest you watch it! This is just early bird access. The options for tools and integrations and such are limited, but what exists is already working quite well. The process is easy peasy. The UI is simple, but effective. It asks you for... 1. Role & Purpose 2. Voice & Style 3. Behavior 4. Rules 5. Tags 6. Avatar image 7. Welcome text. 8. Test drive before publication. ... and that's about it. This free version lets you have at most 3 agents, I am told. This implies that there is also a paid version. I'm all for it, because it sounds to me like VeChain is ready to do real business! I am providing feedback to Jérôme Grillères in order to help improve VeChain's AI agent marketplace. I didn't have to set up anything. The web UI is all I needed! The agent is running on Claude Sonnet 3.7. I did not have to provide a Claude API key. We seem to be riding along on VeChain's. I hope there'll be a choice for more models, including ChatGPT, in the future. This is so user friendly, that I can easily imagine that this would take off in a big, big way. I'm definitely building on this, when it goes into production with full features. Even if my own AI agents aren't successful, then I'm sure others' will be. This is one of the wildest things I have built with AI so far 😱 Asked Claude Fable 5 to create a fully interactive 3D crime investigation board using Three.js and it did it in ONE Prompt. It took one more prompt to give it a polished UI inspired by a reference design that I created with GPT Image. What surprised me most was not how it looked. It was how it worked. Fable built a complete Verlet rope physics system with 46 particles in every thread. It handled gravity, damping, distance constraints and all other features of file upload, text and everything. The threads/ropes even lift naturally with pinned evidence instead of clipping through it. I never asked it to implement any of that. I only described the experience I wanted. Maybe that's how we should work with AI. Instead of writing long long specs, we should explain what we want as an experience and let AI do its thing. Anyway, every day Fable 5 raises the bar for what I think AI can build. More to this Live: Code:

Casually vibe coded Trevor Noah's latest website "Books" page using Fable 5 😍 I really loved the effects and animations on the website and immediately wanted to see if I could recreate them with AI. Pretty close in just a couple of prompts, isn't it? Everything is built in Three.js with no 3D assets for the books. Claude built the whole thing using pure math and animated it nicely with GSAP. You describe what you want in plain English, Claude writes the React components and Remotion renders it into a real MP4. What you can actually do with this: > Generate 9:16 vertical videos for TikTok / Reels / Shorts > Add animated text with viral hooks and safe zones > Pull live web screenshots directly into your scenes using Chrome MCP > Fact-check your content in real time with Perplexity MCP > Drop in your own photos and background music > Edit existing talking-head footage cut bloopers, add captions > Schedule posts to your socials straight from the terminal ▫️How to set it up (takes 5 minutes) : > Make sure you have Node.js installed ( node -v to check ) > Create a new Remotion project: npx create-video@latest Pick the Blank template, enable TailwindCSS, and install the Skills package when prompted. > Install dependencies: cd my-video npm install > Start the preview server: npm run dev > Open Claude Code in the same project folder: cd my-video claude That's it. You can now prompt videos in plain English. If you already have a Remotion project, just add the skill directly: npx skills add remotion-dev/skills This drops a SKILL.md into your project that gives Claude expert knowledge of Remotion.. animations, compositions, captions, assets, 3D content everything. Example prompt you can steal: "Create a 30-second 9:16 vertical video about the top 3 AI tools this week. Use animated text with a hook in the first 2 seconds. Add smooth transitions between scenes. Keep text in the safe zone for TikTok. Use a dark tech aesthetic with blue accent colors." Claude writes all the React code, renders a preview, you tweak with natural language, and export when ready. The crazy part is this whole pipeline is local, free (minus your Claude sub), and you never open a video editor. imo this kills CapCut for anyone making info-style content.
