New update on combining FastHenry and Blender 🔶 , I've added the ability to calculate the mutual inductance between objects! Also developed a basic UI inside Blender to visualise the results and to highlight the inductively coupled objects. This video shows some examples of what can be donw now.... First demo shows how you can model the impedance of die bond wires and the coupling to adjacent wires, you make adjustments to their lengths and curvatures and see the results in near-real-time. Second demo shows calculating inductances and mutual inductance of air-core inductors with arbitrary positions and deformations. Third demo shows simulating PCB coils over a range of frequencies for applications such as wireless power and distance sensing. You can now use Blender Fasthenry to do PCB layout studies, calculate impedances of loops and return paths and determine how many vias you need! This demo shows how the impedance of DC decoupling capacitor is impacted by its distance from the IC, and the number of vias under the IC and near the capacitor. This is for a two-layer 1.6mm PCB at 1MHz. Wire bonding and lead impedance calculation in Blender FastHenry! I've improved how the simulation results are visualised, the entire objects now gets overlaid with a colour rather than using bound boxes. Red is for showing the self-inductance of a selected objected, yellow for mutually coupled objects and blue for conductive plane objects. It has finally happened - my first video guide on how to create electromagnetic openEMS simulations with Blender 🔶 is now available! When winding a toroid, it is recommended to evenly distribute the windings for better core utilisation and to reduce parasitic capacitance, but what happens if you bunch the turns closely, does the inductance increase or decrease? This video shows the inductance calculation in real time for an RF toroid as the windings spread is changed, I also did measurements to compare between evenly distributed and tightly grouped windings using the LDC1314 Inductance to Digital Converter from Texas Instruments

Just look at the new Compositing in Blender 5.2. This is cool. Now the compositor can play sequence animation in real-time right in the compositor, and look at this, I'm doing color grading while the animation is playing. On top of that, the overall performance of the Compositor has grown a lot, and it now works at a level where you don't need to use DaVinci Fusion and can work fully in Blender. Because now Blender can definitely do that. Blender 🔶 This is an awesome update! Maybe you will think about adding the ability to move images in Compositing just by dragging them with the mouse, in some of the next updates...
