NEW WORLD MODEL: Yann LeCun's team is back with an efficient model! This project involves Yann LeCun, Lukas Kuhn, Lucas Maes, Quentin Le Lidec, and Randall Balestriero. A couple definitions first: - DINO: self-DIstillation with NO labels. A self-supervised image model (Meta, 2021) where a student network learns to... match a teacher (an EMA copy of itself) across two crops of the same image, with no labels and no negatives. - SIGReg: a regularizer that prevents embedding collapse by forcing the embeddings to match an isotropic Gaussian, tested with a normality test (Epps–Pulley) on many random 1-D projections instead of in full dimension. LeVJEPA is a self-supervised video pretraining method, released with open code, weights, and checkpoints. It learns a video representation by pushing the embeddings of global and local crops of the same clip together (an invariance loss), while a regularizer called SIGReg forces the embeddings toward an isotropic Gaussian to provably prevent representation collapse. Unlike V-JEPA and V-JEPA 2 it uses a single shared encoder with a projector and no target network, no predictor and no stop-gradient. It drops 95% of tokens per view, uses block-causal attention (each frame attends only to past frames), and has a single loss weight. It is evaluated purely as a representation learner via frozen probing on ImageNet-1K, Something-Something-v2 and Kinetics-400, not on any robot. What I find interesting, is that V-JEPA and V-JEPA 2 need an EMA target encoder, stop-gradients and a capacity-limited predictor to avoid collapse; LeVJEPA drops all of it for one shared encoder plus projector, preventing collapse instead with the SIGReg regularizer under a provable guarantee and a single hyperparameter. The "P" (predictor) in JEPA is effectively gone. LeVJEPA is also less compute intensive: - 5.6x to 20.8x lower total pretraining compute than V-JEPA 2 - 7.6 points higher on ImageNet-1K at matched FLOPs - trains at batch size 128 within 8GB where V-JEPA 2 saturates at batch size 28 Also worth mentioning: ImageNet-1K accuracy rises monotonically with the token-drop rate, from 33.9% at rho = 0 to 47.6% at rho = 0.95. The aggressive dropping is actually doing regularization work. On the JEPA-versus-DINO debate: - it loses to DINOv2 by 3.1 points on ImageNet-1K (appearance, static) - but wins on Something-Something-v2 by nearly 2x (motion, temporal) - and beats V-JEPA 2 by 1.9 points on ViT-L at 5.6x lower cost. -> optimized for temporal and motion understanding per compute dollar.show more

This guy built a visual scanner that reads 468 points on his face and 42 points on his hands from a regular webcam and turns them into a cloud of thousands of particles right between his palms. Inside, MediaPipe and TouchDesigner are linked: the first captures hands and face from the webcam with high accuracy, the second turns those coordinates into a live plane and feeds it into a POP system that instantly generates a swarm of particles in the shape of a head. No studio, no render farmer, no VR headset. Just a laptop, a webcam, and 1 TouchDesigner session. And traditional VJ studios keep teams of 5 people on a setup with lighting, custom hardware, and commercial plugins, while his expenses are only a TouchDesigner subscription and a regular USB camera. One laptop runs MediaPipe and TouchDesigner simultaneously, holds the camera stream at 60 FPS without drops, and in parallel processes 468 face points + 21 points on each hand. The camera captures frame after frame, MediaPipe in real time sends TouchDesigner the finger coordinates and face geometry, and the POP operator inside the engine translates those numbers into thousands of particle points with colors from bright pink to gold. Right now a single AAA title takes seven years and half a billion dollars across thousands of engineers and artists just to ship it. Musk is describing a world where one person types a paragraph and gets something comparable. The entire value proposition of a multi-billion dollar industry lives inside that gap. And it closes in thirty-six months. But the prediction is not the story. The person making it is. This is not an analyst speculating from the sidelines. This is the man building the largest AI compute clusters on the planet. The man who built xAI from zero in under two years. New open-source agent harness just landed! I got early access to TrueForge by TrueFoundry and have been running it locally for the past few days. The harness layer deserves as much attention as the model, and open source matters here because you can inspect the loop, run it on your own infrastructure, and swap to the latest or cheaper models. TrueForge handles the runtime work that makes an agent reliable. It drives the tool-calling loop, manages context, coordinates subagents, and executes code in a sandbox, with any model you choose. Every tool call re-sends the growing context to the model, so in practice the harness controls most of what an agent costs to run. A few things stood out from my testing and their published benchmarks. Vendor-Neutral by design. It runs OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models alongside open-weight models like Kimi, GLM, and DeepSeek. Model routing is a setting, and you can send each task to the model that fits it. On a 14-task enterprise agent benchmark, it matched the accuracy of Claude Managed Agents running the same Opus 4.8 model at roughly 30% lower cost per run (3.8M tokens vs 10M for the same answers). Routing the same tasks to GLM-5.2 held accuracy and brought cost down by about 75%, around $3 per run instead of $12. Fully self-hosted and Open Source (MIT License). Stop renting a chatbot and calling it your company’s brain. Utopia is the first open-source enterprise world model I’ve seen that actually treats knowledge like a system, not a vibe. It's a Self-hosted, open source and built around the one question every other knowledge base ignores: when. Every fact in it carries a start date and an end date. Nothing gets overwritten. When something changes, the correction closes the old version and opens a new one. The history stays intact. So the graph isn't a snapshot anymore. It's a recording you can rewind. You drag a timeline on the screen and watch the whole thing redraw itself to show what was true on that date. Who owned what. What the policy said before it changed. All of it, replayable. And every fact points back to the exact sentence it came from. Nothing gets in without a receipt. Here's the part that got me. The whole thing is one binary and one Postgres database. That's it. No Elasticsearch, no separate vector service and no message queue. Most RAG stacks are six services duct-taped together. This is two. It even runs fully offline on an air-gapped network with any model you want.

HydraFusion Explained. Part I: How does the Copilot engine know what to optimize for? Your prompt is evaluated across 4 dimensions: ➡ Does it require deep reasoning? (aka. tool orchestration needs) Based on this evaluation, a HyDRA score is assigned to determine the capability profile your task needs the most and to establish a quality bar. Part II: How does it choose a model? Note: It doesn' t pick one model to handle the entire job e2e, (that's Auto mode). Instead, it selects 1 of 3 execution workflows and assigns the best model at different stages based on the HyDRA score: 1️⃣ Single ⚙️ How it works: A single model completes the task from start to finish. ⚖️ Rationale: The task comfortably meets the quality bar with one model. Multi-model orchestration would add latency and cost with no meaningful quality gain. 2️⃣ Cascade ⚙️ How it works: A lightweight, cost-efficient model generates the solution. This draft is evaluated against a quality gate and if it falls short of the quality bar, the entire task escalates to a stronger, frontier model. ⚖️ Rationale: Only bring in the big guns when there is concrete evidence that a lightweight model won't meet the quality threshold. 3️⃣ Critique ⚙️ How it works: A lightweight model drafts the initial code and tool interactions. An independent, read-only frontier model reviews that draft and provides feedback. The original lightweight model then performs any targeted revision(s) before the final response is sent to the user. ⚖️ Rationale: Writing code (output tokens) is expensive while reviewing code (input tokens) is cheap. Instead of incurring the cost of a powerhouse writing hundreds of lines from scratch, a cost-efficient model writes the first draft, and the frontier model just reviews it and points out fixes. That is a small enough gap to take seriously, and it did not happen by accident. They built a VR teleoperation rig specifically for coordinated dual-arm collection, because generic single-arm teleop setups do not capture the coordination real assembly needs, and the model predicts a continuous progress signal alongside the action chunk rather than a discrete subtask label, letting it auto-transition and catch drift before it compounds into total failure. The simulation ablation is what got them there, 48 to 80 percent over baselines, with another 21 points from their perception and control design study alone, but that is groundwork, not the headline. With the release of s6 next week, it felt fitting to use our platform to get as many eyes on it as possible. As a quick disclaimer, just because things have been 'tested' does not mean it is not the solve. This post is also not an invitation to share your personal thoughts on datamining/leaks. This relic, by everything shown in the game files, can NOT be datamined: "Even in the current state of the game, relics are a lot harder to solve via datamining and ingame hack tools... For relics, only the sequential item ones (like Dancing Arnie and Agarthan device) are incredibly easy. Agarthan device with the helmet, radio, and mr peeks is actually the easiest. Dancing Arnie becomes hard due to it becoming a kill challenge for the lobster and you cant datamine that". Because of that, the leading theory is that the missing piece has to be something kill condition related, or player action related. Below is literally all of the information I could find on the belt that I thought was worth mentioning, to try and help the community solve this together. CONFIRMED: There is a magazine with a sticker of Mr Peeks holding a Geiger Counter that has a pickup interaction, and is located at the top of the lighthouse while you are picking up the Jotunn Star. This only appears in cursed mode, and appears without any relics active. Considering the only other grim relic (power switch) is solved, we know this mag fits in with the wrestlers belt in some way. The sticker comes directly from intel located on Paradox Junction. THEORIES: Treyarch Dev Tweet - One Treyarch dev tweeted out: "It feels very fitting this is the final unsolved relic given the reward... good luck" Coda Wallbuy Sounds - In a video, a user hears a distinct ding sound when buying ammo off of the coda wall buy in spawn. This has been difficult to replicate, but has been replicated by the original user. Disappearing Boxes - There are 7 boxes around the map that have a hit box, and disappear when hit/shot (they disappear fast with melee macchiato). Currently it is believed by the majority of the community that this is nothing Clocks - There are five clocks near Richtofen's office. Dataminers have said "The hour, minute and second hands are all separate individual models stacked on top of the base model. lol I mean it could mean something or it could just be nothing. Their design choices on some stuff is weird But it is a model without a script and isn’t setup to move in any way" Swordfish - The mag located at the top of the lighthouse is the same model of a mag from the Swordfish A1. Some people believe that is a hint for the swordfish being needed from the box in order to complete the relic. Last night I asked Claude Code to build me a simple script: pull on-chain data from Polymarket and sort wallets by win rate Nothing ambitious. Just wanted to see who is actually making money on 15-minute BTC markets The terminal finished in about 20 minutes. Hundreds of addresses, columns of numbers, nothing interesting And then 1 wallet caught my eye 200+ trades per day, consistent profit every week, almost surgical timing precision. I reread the line 3 times. A real person does not trade like this I fed the address back into Claude Code and asked it to break down the pattern. Half an hour later I had a full strategy reconstruction on my screen The bot (and it is definitely a bot) pings Binance and Bybit every 100ms monitoring volatility compression on BTC. When it drops below 0.08% it enters Up and Down contracts simultaneously at 25 to 35 cents each. A pure straddle. 1 side burns, the other flies to a dollar. At a 30-cent entry that is 3 to 4x per position And so it goes in circles. Dozens of times a day I sat there staring at it for about 10 minutes $13K to $25K in daily profit from a single wallet. Not a trader with intuition, not an insider with information. An algorithm that found a hole in market mechanics and methodically milks it You can check the trade history yourself: After that I went looking for whether anyone else is tracking this wallet. Robotics keeps hitting the same wall. Single task RL works, but... it does not scale to hundreds of tasks or new embodiments. This new paper looks like a real step toward fixing that. The team introduces MMBench, a benchmark with 200 tasks across many domains and robots, and Newt, a language conditioned world model trained online across all 200 tasks at once. The simple idea behind Newt: The model learns from demos to get the right priors It trains across many tasks through online interaction It uses language to ground the goal It adapts fast when a new task shows up What stood out to me: ✅ One model trained on 200 tasks at the same time ✅ Language conditioned control for both states and RGB ✅ Better data efficiency than strong baselines ✅ Strong open loop control ✅ Fast adaptation to new tasks and embodiments ✅ Full release of 200 checkpoints, 4000 demos, code, and benchmark This is a good push toward general control instead of one model per task. This Chinese developer launched Llama 70B locally on a MacBook on a plane and for a full 11 hours without internet ran client projects. He was sitting by the window on a transatlantic flight with a MacBook Pro M4 with 64 GB of memory. WiFi on board cost $25 for the flight. He declined. No cloud API, no connection to Anthropic or OpenAI servers, no internet at all. Just a local Llama 3.3 70B on bf16 and his own orchestrator script. The model runs through llama.cpp. Generation speed, 71 tokens per second. Context around 60,000 tokens. Memory usage, 48.6 GiB out of 64. Battery at takeoff, 3 hours 21 minutes. And he gave the orchestrator this system prompt before takeoff: "You are an offline orchestrator running on a single MacBook. There is no network. The only resources you have are local files in /Users/dev/work, the Llama 70B inference server at localhost:8080, and a battery budget of 3 hours 21 minutes. Process the queue at /Users/dev/work/queue.jsonl (one client task per line). For each task: draft → run local evals → save artefact to /Users/dev/work/done/. Save context checkpoints every 12 tasks so you can resume after a battery swap. Stop only on empty queue or when battery drops below 5%." So the system knows exactly what resources it is running on. It knows it has no connection to the outside world for the next 11 hours. It knows it has finite memory and a finite battery. It knows the human will not intervene until the plane lands. The system runs in 1 loop. Takes a task from the queue, runs it through inference, saves the artifact, writes a checkpoint. Task after task, just like that. And only when the battery drops below 5% does the orchestrator automatically pause, waits for the laptop to switch to the backup power bank, and continues from the last checkpoint. somebody explain this because i refuse to accept it someone ran 48 scored trials and one agent beat a whole fleet of them on all 6 task families, at 0.93 cents a run against 1.9, while openai's best fleet shape was paying $0.008 for every single point of accuracy it bought i read it expecting a hit piece and found the opposite: the fleets that partitioned the dependency graph properly lifted pass rate 14% and cut wall-clock 2.10x on the same tasks, and one of them beat claude code with agent teams the thing that decides it has a name, Graph Engineering, and it is a property of the diagram rather than the model: - partition on the real dependency graph pulled from static analysis, never by folder or by file, because the gains land hardest on the most dependency-dense projects - isolate the structural hub files first, since those are the nodes every partition would otherwise have to share - measure the critical path and treat it as the floor, because a chain that genuinely feeds itself cannot be replaced by more workers and wrapping it in a scheduler does not shorten it - match the topology to the coupling instead of defaulting to parallel: on coupled work a static parallel shape drops below a single agent, so the mismatch is worse than no orchestration - remember each worker serialises its own subtasks, which adds edges inside every agent that were never in your plan - budget the fan-out before you fire it, because three agents already burn roughly three times the tokens and the multiplier compounds across sessions - check worker count against your rate limit, since fifteen workers at ten requests a second walk straight through a hundred-per-second ceiling and cascade - put a script gate in front of the planner: it costs 0.15 seconds and zero tokens, and it lets the expensive model skip 43 to 63% of the steps for at most 1.4 points of accuracy the catch is the coordination tax, and it scales with how clever the shape looks: 58% extra reasoning turns for independent workers, 263% decentralised, 285% centralised, and 515% for the hybrid setup everyone reaches for first the same paper found that hybrid then collapses hardest on tool-heavy work at a 0.452 success rate, while the plainer decentralised shape beat centralised outright despite carrying more overhead, because parallel efficiency is what survives bookmark this, the whole build sits in the article ↓
