Most people with limited hip mobility try to improve it by forcing themselves into deep stretches or mobility positions to improve their flexibility and range of motion. However, this is sometimes counterproductive and there is a better way. Instead of trying to force yourself into a position you can’t access, try start working in the space you do have and then work out from there. Your body will thank you.

As we know from the holy scriptures (Bible), all the Gods of the Gentiles (non-believers, similar to kafir) are devils" -Greek Orthodox Christian priest in US advises his followers to stop practicing Yoga. Yes, dear priest, Yoga is completely rooted in Hindu Dharma - you got that right. Which is why some Westerners are now trying to appropriate it as Western-origin physical exercises/calisthenics, pranayama as 'cardiac coherence breathing' etc. Some yoga teachers and Western popular media just make a mockery of it by distorting names of asanas, and removing the spiritual component of Yoga altogether. But this is where you need to correct yourself - Hindu Gods are real. It is the jealous & insecure 'God' described in your scriptures who is false. As for Hindus still harboring 'all religions are the same' beliefs, ponder over what this Christian priest is saying, and some of the Instagram comments on this video "Why not stop arguing with wisdom and exercise another way? Is it worth it? What if you are worshiping false gods even if you don't know it? Nothing is worth offending Christ Jesus. Find another way to exercise." "For all the Yogi's who want the physical benefits, lift weights and do Pilates. Endo story" "How can something be inseparably connected to diety that doesn’t exist? What if the mantra you are using is reciting verse from scripture or prayers of the church throughout history?" "This is the position of the Church. There was a few times where even Christ says “this is a hard teaching.” You give these entities praise and worship. It may be physically good for you however not spiritually. A younger guy recently asked me a really smart question: “What’s one thing you’d tell your 30-year-old self to do differently for health & longevity?” This one is a no brainer: I’d invest 5+ hours a week into MOBILITY training. In fact, I’ll take it a step further… EVERYONE—young or older—should replace most of their traditional weight training with mobility work. Stop chasing numbers, adding bulk, and risking injury! Elite mobility guys are ripped, strong as hell, and have unmatched functional fitness. More importantly they stay injury-free. So what’s mobility training? It’s exercise designed to increase: 1) Range-of-motion of joints (not the same as “flexibility”) 2) Functional strength & neuromuscular coordination 3) Skeletal stability (to repair & avoid injury) Yoga and Pilates are forms of mobility training but modern mobility training combines multiple disciplines. Just do a YouTube search and you'll find tons of videos and programs designed to address specific goals or issues (e.g. bad knees). Mobility work allowed me to avoid surgery and recover quickly from a severe back in injury in March. The video below is a basic back program that I do twice a day — it only takes 10 minutes and has been a game-changer. This is just the tip of the iceberg — I plan to go much deeper into mobility and hire a coach (if anyone knows a great one in Boulder LMK). I’m convinced that if I’d discovered mobility training when I was younger I would have avoided 20 years of chronic back issues and performed better athletically. 🤙

Saturday mornings are for hip mobility routines. Free them of the tension gathered during the week. You'll be more relaxed for your weekend and will protect your joints over the long run. This routine relieves the stress gathered in your hips: Do one after the other and rest for two minutes. 1 - Cossack Squats [ 3 x 10/leg] You might need to hold onto something if you have no hip mobility. Go as far down as your body allows and feel the stretch. Watch how your range of motion improves over time by doing these exercises a few times a week. 2 - Deep Bodyweight Split Squat [ 3 x 10/leg] Keep your torso upright and drive your knee all the way forward. You will feel a stretch along the front of your hip and thigh on the back leg. Use support if you struggle with balance too much. 3 - Deep Squat Twist [ 3 x 10/side] Can you rotate so that your fingers point toward the ceiling? I've seen so many people with chronic pain get stuck way before. If you lack the mobility to twist, hold the deep squat position for thirty seconds to one minute. Grab onto something at the bottom if you can't stay in the position. 4- Seated Wide-Leg Adductor Stretch [ 3 x 30-60s] Sitting with wide legs will be enough for some people to elicit an intense stretch. // Many of the new chronic pain clients I meet should have started a routine like this one decades ago.

#donghae #동해 🐶: Honestly, I feel like crying. These days, I really want to cry. Because you keep telling me how much you’re expecting from me, and honestly, that makes me feel a lot of pressure. I feel really burdened right now, and my heart doesn’t feel like my own these days. I keep doing Super Shows, then I’m in Korea for maybe 2–3 days, and then I’m just stuck in the studio again. The pressure and stress are really intense, so I’m not sleeping well and I’ve been living in a daze. I don’t get angry. (Please don’t get angry at Leeteuk-oppa.) I don’t get angry. My mindset is this: If getting angry could solve something, then I would do that. But for problems that can’t be solved that way, I don’t think getting upset helps much. I think those comments come from concern and support, wanting me to do well, so they actually give me strength. But when all the things I have to do come rushing at once, it does get overwhelming. Still, I think these are responsibilities I have to overcome, so I’ll do my best and give it my all. I think the reason I feel this pressure, stress, and worry is because I want to grow. Because of that, I think more deeply and can give you better things. Right now, it’s stressful and pressuring, but when everything turns out well and you’re happy with what I give you, I’ll be grateful even for these feelings.
