Newt Gingrich bluntly explains why the “Schumer Shutdown” is going to BACKFIRE on Democrats. Listen closely to these words of wisdom. Democrats couldn’t write a worse playbook than this. “There are two things the American people feel about this shutdown:” 1.) They do not want increased spending. 2.) They do not want the government closed. “So what do you have? You have the Schumer shutdown, where Chuck gets up and says, ‘I’m going to close the government to get more money.’ Now, that means he’s on the wrong side of BOTH issues.”

Newt Gingrich says Democrats just pulled off a DOUBLE NEGATIVE with this shutdown. He’s been in politics for over 45 years, but he says what Democrats are doing at the moment is one of the DUMBEST moves he’s ever witnessed. Things could not look more bleak: “This may be the dumbest strategy that I have seen in a long time. There are two things the American people want,” Gingrich explained. 1.) Do not close the government and 2. Do not raise spending. "So what do the Democrats do? They say, 'I’m going to close the government until you raise spending.'" “That’s a DOUBLE NEGATIVE!” Gingrich stressed. He asked: “Do you know how hard it is for a major party to design a strategy that has two different stupid things in the same strategy?… But it is really one of the dumbest moments in Party history — certainly in the last 30 or 40 years.”

I don’t even know what the Democrats want to end the Schumer-Jeffries shutdown! A system that I have worked really hard to make safer is now in jeopardy because Democrats are holding the American people hostage. End the shutdown NOW!

SHUTDOWN: Only seven Democrat senators are needed to keep the government open. WIthout their votes the government will shutdown. Even CNBC is calling out Democrats for pretending they can't stop the shutdown. Leader Jeffries and Schumer will own this shutdown 100%.

The Schumer Shutdown was created by Democrats to protect themselves from getting primaried. They should do the right thing by reopening the government and getting back to work on behalf of the American people.

Sen. John Kennedy slams Democrats for still being angry Trump won and for forcing a Schumer shutdown: "The Democrats are angry—and they’re angry for two reasons. They’re angry because President Trump won the election. The American people spoke. My Democratic colleagues need to drink a big old glass of ‘get over it’ and let’s move on. Number two, they’re mad that the American people are upset about the shutdown. It was so needless. Senator Schumer eagerly wanted to become the face of this shutdown. I was looking at a poll today showing what the American people think of Senator Schumer. In the opinion of the American people, Senator Schumer is a wet match in a dark cave."

Hakeem Jeffries is vowing to keep the Schumer Shutdown going. He declared, "no matter what comes over" from the Senate to the House, Democrats are "not going to support" it. The American people have not experienced enough pain and suffering for the Democrats in DC.

Tennesseans are frustrated with the Schumer Shutdown, and they want to see the government back open with responsible spending. Nobody wants to see Democrats supercharge Obamacare and cost American taxpayers billions of dollars.

SIMPLE FACTS: President Trump told Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries NOT to shut down the government — because it would cause REAL HARM to the American people. They ignored him — and now Democrats have CUT OFF government funding, forcing the administration to triage federal spending just to keep critical operations running. Democrats can make this shutdown stop IMMEDIATELY. All they have to do is pass our clean, 24-page bill to keep the lights on.

🚨 BREAKING: Rep. Tim Burchett just went SCORCHED EARTH on Chuck Schumer and Democrats over the federal shutdown "They want America to SUFFER and they have STILL drawn their paychecks every dadgum day!" "Democrats do not CARE about poor people, all they care about is POWER." "Chuck Schumer wants to cause as much PAIN as he can! He sees AOC creeping up behind him and he knows if she announces tomorrow, she will have that!" "Donald Trump understands that. He said he'll negotiate. Just open the dadgum government! How easy is that?" "All you need is four or five more Democrats in the Senate to cross over with Fetterman and a few of those that have the guts to do something. But instead, no." Tim Burchett

BREAKING: The situation is looking HORRIBLE for Democrats like Schumer, who are careening our government towards a shut down, and they are FREAKING OUT! The SCHUMER SHUTDOWN may be the FINAL STRAW that will completely dissolve the party. "We really are looking at this shutdown going for SEVERAL DAYS, possibly through the WEEKEND." "This one is DIFFERENT because the OMB Director, Russ Vought, has threatened and has essentially already let government agencies know that they are going to FIRE FEDERAL WORKERS." "This is a LEGITMATE THREAT." I am so ready for this shtshow!
