In all honesty. This rams defense would be in much better hands with a different defensive coordinator. Shula has been in charge of this group now 3 seasons and has given us nothing but soft zone coverages that opponent teams exploit because there's nothing he does differently

Yeah to me, Shula is just incompetent. The guy has had major meltdowns from his defense several times in the last two seasons; that should not be happening and you can say oh it’s because they didn’t execute or whatever but it’s on his watch so ultimately he’s responsible.

If you think about the game the defense actually only gave up 16 points. 7 was on Stafford not the defense and ST could be argued contributed to some of that as well (punt penalty resulting in 30 yard net gain for example). Had ref ruled INT rather than PI Rams win 26-23.

This is why I'm picking the San Francisco 49ers to BEAT the Los Angeles Rams in week 1... - Having traveled to Australia multiple times, I think the Niners plan of attack getting there a week early and acclimating with the time change is more beneficial than what the Rams are doing. - The Rams defense has a bunch of studs and I like how they rebuilt their secondary, but are we expecting them to be elite right from the jump with so many new pieces against Kyle Shanahan? - The middle of the field I think can be exposed vs. Rams - Super Bowl favorites and a stacked team doesn't automatically mean the Rams are going to dominate everybody. 20 Super Bowl contenders the last 30 years have been +500 odds or better to win a ring. None of them have. - Rams have a star-studded team, but so do the Niners. #49ers

Nick Caley mentioned running the ball more multiple times today: “I gotta do a better job being disciplined to the run game.. in hindsight probably should’ve stuck more runs in there.” It’s clear what they want to do. Problem is we aren’t good enough to do it vs any run d that’s remotely average to below average. Seattle’s rush D is elite. Going to more quick game was the right move and what worked. We are going to have to be able to do that in games where we face stout run defenses. Hearing him be mad at himself for doing the right thing is concerning.

All the Pittsburgh fans complaining about drafting Iheanachor instead of Lemon are in for a big surprise. The Steelers didn't need a 1st round receiver (they hardly gave up anything for Pittman), but they did need a tackle. At 6'6 320 lbs with crazy athleticism, Iheanochor has one of the highest ceilings in the draft. Regardless of whether or not this is the season the Steelers start a young QB, one thing remains true. When that day comes, you’re not going to be able to develop a QB that you can’t protect.
