She told the world what happened after the rigged July 2024 election — after independent monitors confirmed it wasn't Maduro who won, but rather her candidate with 67% of the vote. The dictatorship responded with terror: 2,500 people were kidnapped disappeared and tortured. Homes were marked. Entire families taken as hostages. Priests, teachers, nurses, students, anyone who shared a voting sheet was hunted down. More than 200 children were detained and beaten into making false confessions of being “paid by Machado to protest.” Women and girls in prison are right now being abused. The children of Auchtertool made this video to tell us how they feel about the hyper scale data center planned for our village. Please take a few minutes to watch it. But this isn't an Auchtertool problem - it's a Scottish one. The proposed data centre would need roughly half the power currently used by every home in Scotland combined. Who is paying to build all that extra capacity? It would also swallow huge amounts of water, and take much-needed farming land out of the food chain, which we all rely on. And to be clear - this isn't about being "anti-Al". A data centre like this powers the everyday: your photo storage, your online shopping, and yes, Al too. The question isn't whether we need infrastructure. It's how we build it safely, and sustainably. And how the people of Scotland benefit from it. At this scale, the only obvious winner is the developer. It's not obvious what the tangible benefits are for the people of Scotland. Arterial drainage maintenance works have destroyed this tributary of Lough Derg. I first visited this site in April 1992, and hundreds of Brook Lampreys were present. It was the best site I ever found for this species. This was a ‘biodiversity hotspot’, with salmon, white-clawed crayfish, otters, and kingfishers all present. Whooper swans have used the adjoining fields. A few years ago, I saw a white-tailed eagle perched on a tree overlooking this river while I was surveying lampreys – but unfortunately, I only had my underwater camera with me. Part of this site lies within the Lough Derg (Shannon) Special Protection Area. The included clips of kingfishers were taken here in August 2020. The site is now unrecognisable, and there is not a single tree left on the bank where the kingfishers were nesting. The river channel here has been repeatedly degraded by arterial drainage maintenance works over the last four years. At this stage, it is unrecognisable from what it once was. OPW machines have been working on it again this year. Every time they return, a little less is left, and the banks are further destabilised, creating the requirement for even more maintenance works. Most of these works are politically driven. If a landowner is unhappy with their land getting a bit wet and contacts the local OPW office persistently enough, a machine will be sent out. The farm access roads here were also recently resurfaced, with further damage to the riverbank. The river is further affected by background pollution from agricultural activities. This riverbank is part of the Lough Derg Way, and some of the maintenance works appear to be linked to keeping the site ‘tidy’ for this. A footbridge was also recently installed over the watercourse – right at the site of the kingfisher nest. The planning application for this bridge included a 100+ page ‘Ecological Impact Assessment’ report, which missed everything important at the site. Most of the report is a vast compilation of largely irrelevant, ‘cut and paste’ information available online. The bridge forms part of a looped walkway along the SPA, yet only the bridge itself was “assessed” in the ecology report. All the important receptors were missed – including the kingfisher nest site. No Appropriate Assessment was carried out, despite the bridge increasing access for walkers and their dogs into the SPA. Incredibly, a few lampreys, salmon, and crayfish are still present in March 2025. Otters still visit occasionally. While I was on site this week, a kingfisher passed by. But these species have been pushed to the very edge and are likely to disappear from this area altogether. There is no suitable nesting habitat for kingfishers, and only a handful of lampreys remain. With no cover, the remaining lampreys, salmon, and crayfish will all be preyed on. Biodiversity in Ireland is under siege. But the works at this site are completely unnecessary. They achieve nothing in terms of flood protection. This is being done by the state because the landowner refuses to accept that their land will always be a bit wet – it lies beside a lake – and locals seem to want a ‘tidy’ walkway. The only thing missing here now is one of the signs about saving the bees.

While videos circulate online showing British police being heavy handed with ordinary, concerned citizens, the real truth is this, crime across the UK is rising, yet the real criminals walk free without fear of the law. This short clip I’m sharing is from a much longer video taken on a rare weekend out with my family. I don’t usually share these moments publicly because I have a special needs daughter who doesn’t understand what’s happening around her. But this moment is too important to ignore. In the clip, a South Wales Police officer approached me while I was with my family, to demand that I sign a document regarding my complaint about members of the Muslim community in Swansea. For context. I’ve received multiple death threats and abuse, and I made an official complaint, supported by other witnesses, about a man who was openly derogatory towards me. Instead of protecting me, the police told me that if I didn’t immediately explain why I reported the man “a day late,” my complaint would be dropped. Later, they admitted the delay was their own internal communication error because I had, in fact, reported the incident on the same day. Meanwhile, I remain under investigation by South Wales Police. Since January 2025, they’ve had full access to my X account and even seized my phone. I was arrested and imprisoned for 15 hours over something I said online, yet a hateful incident that happened right in front of police officers has been brushed aside. Now, I’m being harassed in public, while with my family, for simply daring to file a complaint. It feels as though the pressure is being deliberately applied so I’ll give up and drop the case. This is the state of policing in the UK today: instead of protecting victims, they harass the complainants. Instead of confronting real criminals, they punish the people who speak up. The system is broken. And the people deserve better.

Centennial Nursing Home Employee Arrested for Elder Abuse The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an employee of the Orchard Park Health Care Center at 6005 S. Holly St. in Centennial for the alleged abuse of an at-risk adult. Patience Jackson, 33, was arrested at her home on June 11. She is facing charges of: Criminal Negligence – Felony Class 5 Crimes Against an At-Risk Person – Felony Class 5 Complicity – Felony Class 5 On May 9, 2025, Investigator VanCleave was called to Sky Ridge Medical Center on an elder abuse allegation against a 92-year-old female victim who suffers from severe dementia. Hospital employees had noticed the victim had two separate broken bones in her lower leg (a tibia-fibula fracture) after being transported to the hospital via ambulance from Orchard Park Health Care Center. Hospital employees told Investigator VanCleave that the victim’s injuries were not consistent with the injuries stated in the report by Orchard Park Health Care Center. That report noted that the victim was found sitting in her wheelchair, screaming for help in terrible pain, that no one had seen her fall, and they did not know what happened. After almost four weeks of a detailed investigation, Investigator VanCleave gathered enough additional evidence to indicate that two female employees at Orchard Park Health Care Center -- Patience Jackson, a Certified Nursing Assistant, and Zainab Namale, a Licensed Practical Nurse, were likely untruthful about how the victim obtained her injuries. The investigator also believes both suspects were complicit in their actions to hide the truth of what happened to the victim. Investigator VanCleave believes the victim’s injuries occurred on May 8 and were caused by criminal negligence, which is a crime against an at-risk person. An arrest warrant was obtained for both employees. Jackson was booked into the Arapahoe County Detention Facility and is being held on a $2,500 bond. The Bamboo Lesson 🌱 Look at the bamboo. For the first four years, bamboo grows only about 3 centimeters above the ground. But during this time, it is building a massive root system underground, extending hundreds of square meters. Then, in the fifth year, everything changes. The bamboo can grow 30–40 centimeters per day, reaching up to 15 meters in just six weeks. This is how real growth works. This is how Pi Network grows. And this is how GCV value is built.
