In the 1960s, Ghana was preparing to build one of Africa's earliest nuclear research reactors. By early 1966, the project was reportedly 90% complete. Then, President Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown in a coup, and the project was abandoned. Ghana didn't get a working reactor until 1995, and it was far smaller than the one originally planned.

One of the longest development periods for a AAA video game ever. ⏳ Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been in development since the 2008 teaser, with multiple restarts and reboots along the way. The last real footage we saw was back in 2018. It's believed the current incarnation has been underway since 2017. Somehow it's still not cancelled. It even survived Ubisoft's recent wave of project cuts. And the company just confirmed it's still a priority for their open-world adventure strategy. It will be a prequel to the first game, set in the early years of characters like Jade. We've also heard it supports single-player (fully playable solo) and multiplayer/co-op modes in a shared universe. There was a report circulating in 2022 that according to devs, the game was still in pre-production at that time. At this point, even if it comes out and it's a success, it's hard to see how it turns a profit after all the time and resources they've probably spent on it... 🫤

I'll always defend this movie, it was a solid sci fi horror with a unique and terrifying concept and cool designs. It was one of my favourite movies as a kid, the spirits gave me nightmares. Imagine being a human in the early days, watching people around you just drop dead for seemingly no reason, whole cities going silent. Felt like there was a lot of potential for a game set in this universe but more of a survival horror like Dead Space.

Microsoft attempted to create its own version of Uncharted for the Xbox Black Tusk Studios, now known as The Coalition, was working on the game, which was dubbed Project Ranger, when the Xbox One was being built. The firm had been working on a Halo game for the Kinect when they were asked to create a game using elements of Uncharted. Project Ranger was supposed to combine the espionage aspects of Mission Impossible with the classic action gameplay of Naughty Dog. Feeling Brave Tonight? Back in 1993, TSR released the now infamous board game Dragonstrike. Inside the game was a 30-minute VHS tape to introduce kids to roleplaying, the rules, and theming. The game was a good introduction to younger-brothers and newbies into the game. But the video is an old-school cult classic on the internet. But did you know it did so well that they planned to release a sequel? WildSpace! Based on the D&D setting, Spelljammer, this game was set introduce a whole new level of camp to the game. Sadly it was never released. Now the game only lives on in a single amazing trailer. Check it out!

A trailer was released, and the project raised $11,320 on GoFundMe. If you've never heard of this documentary, it's because it was never completed. The most recent update came in 2022, when the director, a transgender woman, abandoned the project citing "chronic health issues" and left social media. The project was then handed off to the director's friend, who has also vanished from social media. Promotional clips from the film that were used to support the GoFundMe campaign are still available on YouTube, but the announcement trailer has been removed. In essence, they scammed the Project M community out of $11,320 and disappeared, never to be heard from again.
