Nintendo did think about the Joy-Cons being forcefully removed when designing the Switch 2.

woooow its almost as if everyone was overreacting! 😲

A small teaser of Astromeda! It's a game inspired by Pokemon, Undertale, and OneShot. Wishlist on Steam! #TrailerTuesday #indiegame #IndieGameDev #GamingNews #Steam

They actually explain this in welcome tour lol. They say the gap is there so that if someone were to do that, the joycon doesn’t push itself against the console and instead just instantly releases

Probably but like it’s the consumers fault if they break it this way. Those magnets are strong so you really gotta try to rip them off

This kinda has "Did Nintendo think about me bashing my system with a hammer when designing this?" Why?

We can only guess how much money was spent solely on developing this. They must have been going through countless designs till they landed on this one.

Honestly, I’m concerned what’ll happen as the magnets age and get weaker.

as if they ever wouldn’t, the immediate outrage on this console announcement was so fucking stupid, dumbass twitter commenters thinking they knew better than nintendo engineers based off one 2 minute video, such a fucking joke and they all look stupid now

It was designed in Japan with Japanese culture in mind, where things are treated with respect

Doing this to test it out or to prove a point.. That hurts to watch
