They don’t know why anything is wrong aside from how they were raised and what the culture/law tells them.

Theologically, murder is immoral because we are created in God’s image and as such have great value

Everyone is religious. How they adhere to their highest authority is their religion. Their highest authority is their god.

Oh, he's not smart. All of the original laws were codification of behaviour that is mandatory for a social species to work. A tribe is stronger than an individual. If a tribe has lots of murders it is weaker than a tribe that doesn't kill each other.

>"why is it wrong to murder?" >Atheist dodges question >again... "why is murder wrong?" >Atheist: "well let me flip the question to you!" Why are all atheists insufferable liars unable to answer basic questions and have good faith arguments?

On one hand, he's right to have the kid question how has core beliefs were formed. On the other hand, this is not the slam dunk against atheism that's so many think it is. You can make the argument of inherent value of human life from a humanist perspective, natural rights, etc.

Nice job getting him to think. That one is going to keep him up at night or, at least, it should.

Atheist argument in 3 words. Me No Likey

It takes more faith to be an atheist than to believe in God

No God, no morals

Harm against private property. Everyone's owner of their own body as their private property. Harming a property you don't own is wrong

Often they can't think deep enough to follow the logic. It's wrong because it's wrong is their axiom.

formalized homicide laws date back to the 7th-century BC lawmaker Draco in ancient Athens (from which the term Draconian came from)

HURTING people in ANY way is wrong

I’m not sure if T-Russ is trolling, forcing the other individual to think critically, or if he actually believes what he just said despite presenting arguments that are based on biological continuity.

An atheist cannot argue against murder without borrowing from the Christian worldview. I've never seen it done.

You should start bringing up Imago Dei to these kids and how Christianity is responsible for the "inherit" morality they reference and take for granted.

"Atheist" is not a moral worldview. There is not a set of atheist ethics attached to being atheist. Ethics is its own ballgame entirely, even within theism. Like the various disagreements between sects of Christianity alone based upon interpretations and traditions.

Awesome stuff guys!!

"Why is murder wrong?" must be the stupidest question ever since Christians would just say "Because the Bible says it is" where at least the atheist can think for himself. But the keep pushing the fallacy that atheists cannot really have morals or "stole" them from Christians.

Hey, if they want to murder a child, then have the body parts sold from "research," there are states that allow it.

I don't need religion to tell me that "hey, I don't want BE murdered, so maybe other people don't want to be murdered either" But sure, you totally won this argument with a retarded child.

“Our humanity is defined by common characteristics that are intrinsic to our existence, it is not subject to any hierarchical structure, it is unalienable and self-evident.”

He wanted to say “because everyone has the right to live…” but then his leftist view would tilt on itself. This is how these people think. None of their beliefs make any sense.

I am a Christian, and I do believe in metaphysical good and evil. However murder being wrong could be argued outside of religion, as a long term rational self interest.

tbh i used to argue this way when i was an agnostic. embarrassing in retrospect

I'm an atheist, and I know murder is wrong because if it were right, there would be anarchy, people would murder each other to steal their property, and for the slightest grievance, that would utterly destroy our society. I respect your faith, I just don't share it.

Do miscarried babies go to heaven? Do aborted babies go to heaven? If yes, then wouldn't abortion be sending the babies directly to heaven?

The way they wear backpacks like they are some kind of brilliant students, but all they learn is hate and stupidity in schools and colleges where the teachers believe a woman can have a pen!s.

"Let me flip this on you" and they let you make the exact point you were trying to get to.

Im for abortion personally, for non-whites.
