Just finished up on a Trent 700. Thrust reverser was throwing a fault. Cycled it a few times hoping it would sort itself out, but the lower right pivot door just would not close fully and sit flush. Not ideal. Rather than keep chasing it and risk a last-minute delay, we locked the whole reverser out, fitted the inhibition bolts, and deactivated it the proper way. Aircraft still goes, just without reverse on that side. These Trent 700s are solid engines overall, but the thrust reversers have a habit of throwing random faults that don’t always clear cleanly.
