It’s the rule… except for when it applies to the penguins

Never seen a single team get hosed this bad all year with these calls

Because @penguins challenged, any other team that's no goal, right @NHL

Un-freaking-believable. Best sport, absolutely the worst league.

@NHL doesn’t get much right anymore when it comes to their rules and their understanding of them.

Hey @NHL is this a rule or not?!?

The reasoning was even more ridiculous. Without that contact, EK easily avoids Silovs and he is in position to just glove down that floating puck. Terrible no call but it’s expected at this point.

Dumbass refs

Prime example

it’s not. barron has the right to the rebound, he even turns away from karlsson, didn’t extend the forearms to push him, that’s incidental contact all day for any team dude. learn puck.

Hello Toronto?

Your own player took out your goalie, penguins fans can’t be serious

Best sport, worst league for about 30 years now

@PensML Such bs!! 😤

Would love to hear the nhl explanation. Just read the rule. Attacking player pushes player into their own goalie it would be disallowed. If he wasn’t pushed the goalie would have stopped the puck from trickling in.

So now you can push a player into the goalie?? Really!!

The @nhl has two major problems. Goalie interference and @NHLPlayerSafety being wildly inconsistent/unpredictable

@NHL this is prime goaltender interface

Karlsson initiates contact with Barron but isn’t strong enough to handle it

So the takeaway here is run a defender into his own goalie going forward

They just refuse to call it, same as the high stick goal.

Honestly believe part of the reason they deny the challenge is because Dan Muse is a new coach

Why is the video so choppy?

Would love for someone to a deep dive into how many points the penguins would have if goaltender interference had at least been called consistently this season.

Maybe

“Got slammed into by his own player” lol

Looks like there was a follow through on the shot, Karlsson came across to defend and incidental contact was made rather than a “push” or “shove” as the rule is written. Probably why it was counted as a good goal.

Utterly ridiculous

That’s a good goal, own player interference.

@jennabeee22 Ever.
