David Eby's whole premises of being against an oil pipeline from Alberta to British Columbia's coast is that First Nations might throw a hissy fit and then be against all the other projects happening on the coast (LNG). "The threat to these projects (LNG) is that coastal First Nations saying that if you lift the tanker ban we will no longer support these projects, we don't even like them in the first place." Complete bs. First of all, many of the actual coastal First Nations are a part of these projects as they get billions in backing to buy in. Second of all, the prosperity of Canada will not be held back by a few villages that need taxpayer dollars to live off. Thirdly, the tankers are not going down the coast of BC but leaving for Asia

Mark Carney announces a sovereign wealth fund: Canada Strong Fund. It seems like it will be opened for Canadians to invest in it as well. It's a good idea in general and many countries have a version of this. US under Donald Trump as well. I rather Canada take ownership stake in strategic projects than foreign countries. The problem is that Canada doesn't have "wealth" so the fund will be funded with more deficits, all while not getting rid of the red tape and rethoric that scares away private capital to begin with. If this fund's capital execution has any net zero based assumptions then it be highly inappropriate and your sign for what this is really about.

Mark Carney confirms that industrial carbon tax isn't going anywhere and that it will be a major strategy of his gov: "In the future we will strengthen tax credits to spur more investment in clean energy...we will be keeping the industrial carbon tax and we need to improve operations of these markets...there will be a competitiveness strategy and policy in carbon taxation at the same time a major strategy." New lipstick on the pig is coming which will result in more red tape for business investment & operations just like he admitted the EV mandate is causing.

No pipeline project will been agreed upon until at least September 2027 & that doesn't include the BC First Nations & the BC NDP agreeing. How can a pipeline get private investors when yesterday Mark Carney said oil and gas will be phased out in Canada? Carney also said any oil and gas not phased out will be forced to pay a substantially increased carbon offset fee. Danielle Smith has sold out Alberta.

I'm not a fan of this UCP oil pipeline endeavor that will line up connected pockets and I'm sure as heck not in favour of this: Danielle Smith: "We have a facility called the Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation where we have the ability to underwrite up to $3B in loan guarantees so that Indigenous Nations are able to take equity stake." Taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook nor rewarding a selected group of people nor should we be forcing oil&gas companies (any companies) to arbitrary partnerships. This is essentially bribing. Close that department down. The fact that this is even a stipulation to the project speaks to why we just can't get anything done in Canada.

Finally! Canada will be taking steps to plan to double our electricity grid. Mark Carney: "Our objective is to more than double the size of Canada's electricity grid...and deliver more affordable power to Canadians." This is something I've been calling for. Canada's industrial economic expansion is constraint by our power grid. One of the most important projects that will be happening is the power line expansion is North West BC, which will also be all local industries. We need to do it ASAP.

The first Drone Deal with a country in the Americas will be with Canada. Today in Ivano-Frankivsk, the final stage of selection for the national Tysiachovesna initiative is taking place. A total of 1,227 projects made it to the final. That is an amazing number. And this number proves that all of our Ukrainian art can become an even greater force. The results of the first Tysiachovesna will now be extremely important: which projects will be created with state support, how they will be received by Ukrainian viewers, listeners, and all our people – the people Tysiachovesna is for. Will Ukrainians in general be interested in this? Will this become a strong voice for Ukraine in the world? This is very important to us, especially in wartime. I believe we will succeed. And exactly one year from now, we will not only be summing up the dry statistics of the first Tysiachovesna through projects that have already been brought to life – we will be talking about the triumphs of our cinema, animation, theater, music, and all of our Ukrainian art, which is here to stay. To be successful, high-quality, and popular among all Ukrainians. This is an important goal for which Tysiachovesna was launched and which it will continue to pursue in the years ahead.

Lower carbon manufacturing. Because that is going to be a driver of competitiveness." As if Canada can afford this red tape that will make it all but competitive. Mark Carney says Canada is ready to build while his own Liberals continue to prove the opposite. Another $70 billion UAE investment stalled because the Liberals do not have enough shovel-ready projects. Meanwhile, 500 projects still wait for federal approval. This is not a lack of opportunity. It is a lack of political will. Canada needs taxes and red tape cut and the Liberal anti-development laws and regulations that block projects repealed and reformed, so major projects can move forward with investment from the private sector, for the benefit of all Canadians.
