Retirement….. a beginning of new inning. On 30.11.23, five police officers of #TeamCentral retired on superannuation after serving Delhi Police for several years. A programme was organised in the honour of retiring police officers, wherein their family members and district police officers participated. This was an effort to express our gratitude to these officers for their services to the department and also to convey our good wishes for their post-retirement life. Delhi Police #DPCares

No two traffic stops are ever the same. What started as a seatbelt stop quickly turned into something more. Officer Morgan Smith and Officer Karim Saoud were out reminding drivers to wear their seatbelts and stopped one driver who wasn’t wearing his. When our officers asked for his information, he gave them what turned out to be a fake name. When you don’t have a phone or wallet and can’t remember your social security number, that raises some red flags with our officers. Officer Smith and Officer Saoud quickly figured out that the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest from Bradford County. This traffic stop ended in a trip for our suspect to the Duval County jail. Drive safe and buckle up, Duval.

Here is another snippet of my conversation with Ryan James Girdusky. There is a societal cost to enforcing the law and that cost is paid by society through danger to both our law enforcement officers and our civilians. This cost is an inevitability built it to the reality of enforcement and human nature. But America’s officers are very well trained and considering the size of our country and the number of officers or civilians lost during enforcement — we’re very successful at keeping this cost to a minimum. American law enforcement leaders are dedicated to a constant and continuing effort to minimize risks to both officers and civilians. Every life lost in an enforcement operation becomes a learning experience for officers throughout the country. Our law enforcement leaders have done a tremendous job developing training and strategies that have rendered use-of-force tragedies into anomalies. Americans should be very proud of where we are today as far as training of our officers.

Dallas PD’s Drone as First Responder program continues to support our on-the-ground patrol officers by providing aerial coverage on emergency calls while officers respond. On a recent call for service in the 2000 block of Elm Street, our drone unit was overhead at an 11-story parking garage where a man called 9-1-1 and told the call analyst he wanted to jump off the building. The drone maintained visual contact with the man, relaying important details to the officers arriving, as the man looked distressed and repeatedly walked to the edge, even sitting on the ledge and looking down. When the officers reached the top of the garage, they quickly and safely took the man into custody. With the fast response by the drone pilot, officers arrived at the scene with critical intelligence they would not have received from just the call to 9-1-1. This incident is documented under case number 076743-2026.
