She didn’t. The arrows were removed but the Indians had poisoned the arrowheads. She died of sepsis a week later. She was buried by her father under a tree which was the beginning of the Yellowstone ranch.
Probably the best western ever made... in recent times. It's her and her alone that is the spirit behind everything in Sheridan's Yellowstone, isn't she?

Unbelievably amazing story, the characters are great, if you're a fan of deadwood you're going to love that show, never watched Yellowstone couldn't get into it but you don't need to watch it to love this show, also 1923 is good too

You think an arrow to the gut is an instant kill? More like a long slow death from infection or sepsis.
She would have survived with a surgeon; her parents were taking her to Fort Laramie for this, but the problem was that Lakota hunters dipped their arrows in dung so that even if the wound wasn't serious, the victim would die from the infection
This was much better than yellowstone-crab.
