Really? Data Centers have been in Austin for over 20 years. You have no plan, only criticism about something we can't get rid of to deflect from your lack of experience and qualification.

Texas grew because it builds. Your whole pitch is stopping what gets built here. Those data centers are jobs and tax base for towns that need both. What would you put there instead?

People bitch about Data Centers, yet they use them. * Data storage — photos, documents, business records, backups. * Cloud services — services from companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and others. * Internet services — websites, streaming, email, social media, online banking, etc. * Computing power — processing large amounts of information. * AI computing — running and training systems such as ChatGPT. * Business systems — payroll, inventory, medical records, government databases, and financial transactions. You’re using it right now as you speak.

@donkoclock It always surprises me when Texas Republicans talk tough about “fixing” Texas when they have been in charge over 30 YEARS! If Texas is a mess, it’s one they created! They are destroying Big Bend National Park just so Trump cronies can have no bid contracts! 🤬

Gina... stop attacking data centers... trust me, this is a no-issue... no texan is really interested in data centers. Texans are interested in no taxes on their homes and get rid of illegals.. run on that, and Texas is all yours.

Just a friendly reminder that Gina Hinojosa relies extensively on data centers to spew her denigration of data centers on social media. Just sayin. She also uses data centers if she orders a pizza, swipes a credit card, makes an Amazon order, listens to music on her cell phone, streams videos, books a medical appointment, has her staff conduct opposition research on her opponent, uses WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger to communicate, uses remote work tools, puts information in cloud storage, and let's not forget that hospitals, banks and government agencies use them too. This is bullshit campaign demagoguery, not a forward-thinking plan for the future. If Democrats hadn't taken their paid out-of-state boondoggle (think Hinojosa went to Illinois), perhaps this could have been an issue addressed in the last general session. Perhaps after the PUC conducts the "comprehensive verification and audit" required by Abbott's pragmatic approach to the problem, legislators can make more informed decisions on data centers during the next legislative session.

You also are speaking at both sides of your mouth. Texans realize that these data centers and the land that is bought from the panhandle to West Texas to the red river to East Texas down to the gulf has already been purchased for these data centers

I heard the Data center are bunkers stilling the water for personal storage. Due to the nuclear war they want to star. The time is know to remove the ⭐ of rafan from America, and remove Habibi from America. Eventually they expand and you will have to wear a berka or die

Tell us how Talarico has $100,000 to donate to your campaign. BTW it was both parties that enthusiastically voted back in 2015 to give those tax breaks.. just as now BOTH PARTIES HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE LATER TAX CUTS MEAN seeking to cut them. Have you discussed this with your buddy Talarico, after $100,000 donation to you , as his biggest donor , Reid Hoffman $11.5 million , and Epstein guest at Epstein Island and Epstein NYC apt, before and after first arrest….is a big investor in AI and data centers.

The socialist democrats always have to have a "boogey man", and this year it's data centers. What Abbott is doing is great - making them provide their own energy and creating a situation where that power can bring down costs for the surrounding areas. Also making them recycle water for their power as well as providing well paying jobs for the community. ONLY a socialist democrat would stand against that.
