today’s experiment: chimera. a little tool that let’s you realtime morph through a design system matrix generated by 4 reference images. this one was inspired by listening to techbimbo talk about her process on Dive Club with Ridd 🤿 and How I AI with claire vo 🖤. her approach to choosing moodboards over prompts made me wonder what might be possible if we applied that same approach to generative UI. and after a few dead ends, the idea turned into chimera. the results are very generic at the moment but I might tune it up if people seem interested. the big reminder for me is how much more inspiring a tool feels when you can explore in realtime instead of waiting for results every time you make a change. lots more things to try in that direction.

One UI, including One UI 8.5, has a long-standing issue with the back gesture: lag. My finger moves, but the animation lags and doesn't follow the finger's response. This puts it behind all other OSes. Comparing One UI 8.5 with vivo's OriginOS5 and OriginOS6 reveals that Samsung's gesture response is the slowest, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue with Home Up. Samsung needs to optimize this. Another problem is that the icons in Samsung's animation are too ugly when they are shrunk. The icons are forcibly stretched to cover the page. Samsung borrowed this from OriginOS 5 at the time, but vivo fixed the problem in OriginOS6, and Samsung One UI 8.5 still has no improvement.

I want to thank Catturd ™ & Brenden Dilley for being the exceptional losers that they are because if it weren’t for them attacking me and going so low brow as to make fun of my looks insinuating that I’m fat and ugly — I would not have taken a break from social media to go to an animal shelter to play with dogs. I had zero intention to adopt a dog that day but someone stole my heart. So thank you CattRetard & loser Dilley, God just took what you meant for evil and used it for good! You both are very sad, sick and despicable. You tried to destroy Liz Crokin like so many have and you lost! How does that feel? I worry about your children Dilley — they will see all of this one day. How will you explain it? I will pray for you both and so will little Clyde!

Pulling that first shot with a bow and arrow is not something that I would normally want to learn at a festival like this. Can you imagine telling Jay Z “Great job on the blueprint, now iterate on that same album for the next decade” The landscape of tech haas been stifling the growth of creators by not allowing them to explore other interests 6 months ago I said no to this "requirement", despite what everyone told me, and continued to drop what I liked every week The second a trend was happening on Tiktok, I had the app out that week Somehow 6 months later, the world is conforming to this ideology Instead of software creators limited to making apps for one audience and one niche, there’s a new world of ephemerality and expression What if instead of optimizing for users, we optimized for fans Making apps that are expressive of your life, your commentary, your heartbreak Garnering an audience that will follow you through each step of your story Each of those steps being its own app Why shoot for daily active users when you can get daily loving fans When fans use your app, it’s not just about resonating with the story, the app places them IN THEIR OWN story Here’s an example You’re a 20 year old girl who’s at UMiami You scroll through Tiktoks in your dorm room about “mogging”, a trend to outshine your friend in a photo You laugh and share videos seeing celebrities mog each other, but that’s the extent of it Then at Danger Testing we make an app called mog or not, where you and your friend can upload a photo and AI tells you who’s mogging Now you’re at the bar with your sorority sisters, playing all night, whether your winning or losing it’s the time of your life cause something is finally about YOU ENOUGH OF WATCHING MOVIES LET’S MAKE YOU THE MOVIE LET’S MAKE YOU THE STAR AN APPSTAR
