The Bourne Ultimatum is one of the best action films ever made. There, I said it. I like to think that all the things Matt Damon learned in playing Jason Bourne helped him on the set of The Odyssey. Seeing Damon’s physicality as Odysseus definitely reminded me of some of the things he pulled off as Bourne. It’s also another excuse to fire up the original Bourne trilogy.

Flanagan: Tom Emmer is pretty ignorant and has said horrific things about immigrants in Minnesota, and Somali immigrants in particular, just last week. He is not anyone I am interested in hugging, frankly. Congresswoman Craig, up until she decided to run for the U.S. Senate, had on her website that she was proud of the fact that she voted with Tom Emmer 45% of the time. That is nothing to be proud of. And I think she gets that now, since she took it off her website, but that is her history. She has voted with Donald Trump more than any other Minnesota Democrat. We deserve a real Democrat to represent us in the Senate, not someone who cosplays as a Democrat when it’s convenient for her.

Not sure why Christopher Nolan doesn't think the "Nobody" pun doesn't translate to modern dialogue. The Odyssey's "Nobody" pun might be nearly 3,000 years old yet remains one of the most famous literary tricks in human history. It holds up today because it is simultaneously a simple joke, linguistic genius, and adds to Odyssyeus's hubris. There's even another layer to this trick. Odysseus knows he can't out muscle this guy. By stripping his name and becoming "Nobody", Odysseus proves that identity and strength are meaningless without intellect. After defeating the Cyclops, Odysseus (safe on his ship) let's his ego gets the best of him. He can't stand even his "Nobody" alter ego getting the credit, so he screams his real name back at the Cyclops to let him know who really did this to him. And of course, now that the cyclops knows it was really Odysseus, prays to Poseidon using his real name. Which in the poem, catches Odysseus a 10 year prison sentence out at sea. My baby girl got her mission call last week! Watch the reaction of my 82 year old Swedish mom, sitting next to her. This call is truly a miracle and blessing for our family, and I am so proud of my baby for choosing to serve her Savior for the next 18 months. The day she learned of the new age requirement for sister missionaries, she was on the phone with our ward executive secretary making her appointment with the bishop. She has always wanted to serve and was willing to go where our Savior wanted her to go. I still can't believe that God was good enough to send her to the land of my forefathers!
