The Charlie Kirk Vigil at Boston Common last night brought together so many patriots, united in prayer, strength, and determination for change. Thank you to every single person who showed up. You reminded us that we are not alone. One of the most inspiring parts of the night was hearing from the young speakers who talked about the impact Charlie had on their lives and why they feel called to get involved. Their words were powerful and showed that the next generation is ready to carry this mission forward. But this is just the beginning. So let's talk about what Rick Jackson really means here, and why it shows he should not be governor. At a press event, Mr. Jackson said that “not having [health] insurance in Georgia does not mean you don’t have healthcare.” It is a common trope used by Republicans to avoid addressing our high uninsurance rates, particularly in Medicaid non-expansion states like ours. What he is likely referring to is EMTALA, a 1980s federal law that states patients who go to the emergency room must be seen and receive "stabilizing care" before discharge. If you show up at an ER bleeding to death, for example, the hospital needs to at least address the cause of the bleeding before sending you on your way. That is not "healthcare" in the sense that most people think of it. That is battlefield triage. EMTALA does not provide for maintenance healthcare--non-emergent treatment of hypertension, or diabetes, or heart disease. EMTALA does not require preventative care, like cancer screenings or annual physicals. EMTALA does not require coverage for medications, prenatal care, mental healthcare, outside of emergencies. EMTALA, essentially, puts into statute a principle that no one should need explained. If someone needs urgent care, you help them, regardless of their insurance status. But it does not cover the costs for that care. Nor does not provide a mechanism for hospitals and providers to recoup the expense of providing that care. What this means in a state like Georgia, with among the highest rates of health uninsurance in the country, is that more uninsured patients will put off preventative and maintenance care because they can't afford it. They will present to the ER only when they have to, sicker than they needed to be, incur the most expensive form of healthcare possible (catastrophic care through the ED), and then be unable to cover those costs out of pocket. Who ends up eating those costs? The providers. The hospitals. The state. The taxpayers. Rick Jackson, the multibillionaire healthcare staffing company CEO who is now running for governor, doesn't think this is a problem for the state he is trying to lead, even as state agencies are being told to tighten their belts and we anticipate revenue shortfalls. This putative healthcare business expert can't see the issue with insisting that he will refuse to expand Medicaid and avail patients of the coverage they need, funded by the federal tax dollars we’ve already been paying for more than a decade. And he wants to tell the rest of us who understand the issue that we're wrong. This man cannot be the next governor of Georgia. Our healthcare system could not survive a Governor Jackson.

Okay, let’s talk about Rory’s “illegal” driver he may have used at the Masters. For those who haven’t heard, Rory’s driver was deemed non-conforming before the PGA. Haters are using this as proof he had an illegal driver to win the Masters. That’s not what it means at all. Driver faces wear over time. After thousands of high impact swings, they can become non-conforming. The governing bodies test a portion of drivers at each event. Every time some drivers are found to be non-conforming. A driver can literally be totally fine one swing and “non-conforming” the next. That’s how tight the tolerances are. It’s impossible for a player to know. A “legal” driver could be fine on the 15th hole and not on the 16th hole. It’s possible Rory’s club was non-conforming at the Masters. It’s also possible it became non-conforming after. Also, it’s guaranteed that other players were playing non-conforming drivers, because they always are. It’s just a bad system. Every driver should be tested every week, simple as that. This half measure just leads to this nonsense. BTW, your driver at home could be non conforming as well. You would never know.

Today we visited Power at 3 PM. The vets informed us that she didn't eat anything during the night, so they started an intravenous drip with fluids (saline/water) to keep her hydrated. Even during our visit she did not wanna eat anything, but we did manage to give her a solid 45 minutes of pure cuddles. We also received the three invoices covering the Operation that she will get on monday, daily hospitalization costs plus the full ultrasound they gave her. (and I'll upload them to the main GoFundMe page). The Veterinary confirmed that the operation will be an exploratory laparoscopy with a micro camera to see what's going on and there will be no actual removal of the mass just a biopsy of a small part of the tissue and lymph node to get analized. and that they will need to make a second surgery when her clinical situation get more clearer to get the mass removed and start the chemo. Sadly we have not yet a quote for those. Power will also get a gastric tube to make feeding her easier. With that, she will be able to come home to us wednesday while we wait for the removal surgery. She relaxed a lot during our visit and of course we will continue to update on her conditions daily! thank you so much to all the people that decided to help Power with the donations you have no idea how gratefull I am.

One of the worst things you can ever do is tell a child that he can never be good enough and that his worth will always mean nothing. The caste system does exactly this. Hearing such sentences even one time can destroy their lives, and they will spend the rest of their lives in a state of anxiety. They will succumb to perfectionism, trying to prove their worth even in meaningless things. They will no longer be able to relax or chill. They will always try to overcompensate. The caste system is one of the most evil systems ever conceived by humankind. And yes, anyone who advocates it, validates it, or even slightly leans toward it is my enemy. There is a private cricket league in Pakistan, called the Pakistan Super League. This year due to the war in the Middle East, they asked citizens of their country to not come to the stadiums, so that their fuel shortage crisis does not get worse. Foreign players who have retired from International cricket and premier T20 leagues across the world, spend their post retirement years as players in this league. The league has still not hit profits, even after some 10th season of it. State level security has to be provided time and again to all teams, as a terror attack is always just a stone throw away. So finally they bring 2 mascots and ask them to get into a mock fight, so that their ever dwindling TRP's get some comical boost. This country is a joke on odd days and a global terror hub on even days.

They just opened this mall in Ede. It belongs to Governor Adeleke. And a school is taking children on an excursion to it. On the surface, this might look like progress. But let us ask the hard questions. Despite all the investment Governor Adeleke is sinking into Ede, can it be sustained? And even worse, why is he doing it at the expense of every other town in Osun? This is not governance. This is the Adenization of Osun State. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. Wondering if you are “quad dominant” in your throw and if you should change it? Maybe you shouldn’t 🤷‍♂️ A coach’s post coming from Austin Roark 🚀⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ One question I get from a lot of athletes is whether they should change their lower half because their knee is over their toe during their loading phase down the mound. ⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ The biggest thing that I look for when trying to figure out if it is an issue or not is to see how they are able to get out of that position. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. One thing that may look inefficient to you could be the thing that makes someone else very efficient.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ When trying to figure out if you should change something about someone's delivery, make sure to look at the entire unit as a whole and don’t jump into any quick changes.
