The amount of brand owners and marketers that have come from this long form has been more than I could have imagined. Today, at 11:05PM CST, on the ViewStats Live Sub Count for MrBeast's main channel, the channel just LOST 230K subscribers! The count, in a few seconds, jumped down from 462.79M to 462.56M. The drop is similar to those of routine YouTube audits from 2019, where the count would drop instantly. Thus far, we haven't seen any other channel experience a sudden drop around the same time as this one. If this is simply an error on ViewStats' side, or an actual audit, we'll have to wait and see.

Daniel reveals how he bought his $220,000 dream G Wagon with kids channel on YouTube Jack: “What's the craziest way you've made money on YouTube?” Daniel: “I just wrapped up running a channel around like 3 weeks ago for a new YouTube video I made. Second video, 5 million views. Third video, 4 million views.” Daniel: “In the middle of the video, we would abruptly stop and we would be like, 'Subscribe if you want a pizza, like if you want a tomato, comment if you want an apple, and do all if you want your family to like live forever or some shit like that.' It was like really, really, really like brain rot, but it worked so well. And YouTube would essentially think that these are high trust advertisers.” Daniel: “We essentially tricked YouTube because getting kids to watch videos is super easy. It's not that hard. I've never done this before but let's see how it goes. The left video will bring me 250k - 300k followers by February, plus ~9k newsletter subscribers. Once I monetize my newsletter, those eyeballs are worth $40 - $60k, give or take. What does my process look like? The right video is the raw file. I went on a train ride up the west coast with my family last week and we had an hour to spare at the San Francisco train station. I popped outside, found a light in the darkness, and recorded 10 videos like the one below in about 40 minutes. All I had was my iPhone 13, a $15 Amazon mic (that's all I ever have), and terrible lighting. Doesn't matter. Many of the ideas came from stuff I'd seen on social media and bookmarked. Then I uploaded all 10 videos to my iCloud folder where my editor made quick work of them. I'm posting 3 shorts per day in 2025. Why wouldn't I? 4 minutes of effort for 5 figures of "income". Short form video might be the world's greatest asymmetric bet. After 29 years of starting businesses and finding opportunities everywhere I look, compounding is working. All I had to do was share my ideas with the world. The good, bad and ugly (they aren't all bangers).

These are a couple clips from my enlightening conversation with #Survivor great Reiman Bledsoe (Spencer Bledsoe). There’s so much in this interview that is worth hearing so I encourage you to listen to the full thing on the Reality Aftershow YouTube channel, but I chose these clips because I think it sheds a clear light on the two sides of being part of Survivor, it’s the most incredible opportunity, that is thrilling, rewarding, a dream come true, but also often messy, draining, and sometimes left feeling not worthy or good enough, thank you again to Reiman for his time, openness, and humor.
