Not had a #marshallingmonday for a while. This one is from Friday at london City #LCY with their unique set up, with a marshaller bringing the aircraft in, and then passing off to the corner marshaller for the turn and park.

We use that process all the time at some of our Pacific Island ports where there is limited apron space.

Takes me way back to Glasgow in the 60s . Horrendous , stormy winter weather , but still taking diversions . The marshaller trying to catch the attention of unfamiliar pilots by waving the lit up bats frantically, until they spotted him.

I marshalled a few aircraft at LCY on the main ramp and it was certainly a skill, if you messed up then it’ll be back out to try again!

I guess space efficient. also no need for pushback tugs and crew, you just start your engines and taxi off. Not really compatible with jetbridges tho so why bigger airports don’t do it.

Runway 09 into London City ✈️ Definitely one of the most unique approaches in commercial aviation. Instead of the standard 3 degree glide path, London City requires a 5.5 degree steep approach straight into the middle of the city, bringing you incredibly low over the buildings during final approach!!✈️ On the Embraer we use a dedicated steep approach mode specifically designed for London City operations. Once activated, the aircraft deploys the spoilers in flight to help maintain the steeper descent profile. It’s a mode we only use for LCY operations, which makes every approach into this airport feel special in its own way. Combined with the short runway, surrounding buildings and often tricky weather conditions, London City landings are captain-only operations. During this approach I’m acting as Pilot Monitoring while the captain flies the aircraft and performs the landing. FSD v14.3.7 doesn’t proceed on an advanced green This is the first time ever (?) that I have had FSD sit at a green light at not proceed. What’s also interesting is you can see the turn signal turn on for a second and then turn back off - but in the car the nav was 100% set to turn left. Any ideas? Has this ever happened to any of you.

This is exactly their problem. Sikh people go there and set up langars and during the yatras no one go to their hotels. That is why they set fire in a langar hall . They turn off the taps so that no one can drink water there and buy from them. This is their only issue .

Wisconsin 6’6 PG Andrew Rohde is one of most underrated players coming into CBB next season Rohde had a strong junior season for Virginia where he averaged 9/3/4 while shooting 41% from three. Rohde also averaged 10/3/5 in conference play. Rohde was one of the best shooters and passers in the country this season at 6’6 who was a very effective PG with his PNR play and passing vision while also having the ability to be one of the best movement shooters in college with his play off the ball. Rohde was also an effective defender giving him a unique blend of shooting, defense, and passing at 6’6 that not a lot of players have along with giving him a ton of versatility. Rohde was one of 3 High Major players 6’6 or taller since 2008 who had an AST% of 25 and shot 40% from three on at least 100 attempts, in the same company as Lonzo Ball and Desmond Bane.

The oleos compress and rebound beautifully over the deck before the aircraft powers into a full-throttle takeoff from one of the shortest "runways" imaginable. ✈️⚓
