There will never be another Charlie Kirk, but this young man is Charlie-esque. He puts into words what Charlie, his mentor, stood for. “Charlie Kirk was a walking, talking beacon of hope. Now, the responsibility falls on all of us. If you admired Charlie, if you followed him, honor him by not retreating into silence, but by speaking with courage. Mikey’s lip was quivering. He was freaked out. I think what he said to me was, I need to call Eirka. He called Erika. Then he called his dad Rob McCoy. 🔻Andrew Kolvet: — I wasn’t there, but I talked to Mikey… he couldn’t remember all that transpired. He said he called Erika and his dad. He immediately turned around because Charlie drilled it into his brain to take these steps in case something ever happened. He says Mikey was not on the phone immediately. He was taking social videos and he’d send to our group chat, which we’d then put on our socials. And when the shot happened, he put his hands over his ears with his phone still in his hand.
