The Captain of a nuclear powered sub and the Captain of a nuclear powered aircraft carrier walked into a bar…..

We saw our escort SSN twice and felt once. Once as we were pulling into Pearl, they were pulling out. For almost a month when we broke down in Bahrain and they pulled in. Felt Thor's hammer hitting the side of our ship when they pinged us

If the Ike was a cat, its tail would be up and its fur standing on end at that sight...

Used to. Lived near a Sub Base's transit corridor and we'd see them coming in and out. Silent and honestly quite scary. Glad they were Ours!

We’d see them in the Chesapeake Bay but once they cleared the Bay Bridge Tunnel they would disappear 🫡🇺🇸

@rolfversluis I used to run the nuclear reactor on one of those submarines in my youth. Matured some and now run a fleet of power generating reactors each 10x the size.

Submarines are like snipers, if you can see them, they never meant you any harm.

I remember a conversation I had with a retired submariner. He said he was very envious when they'd sail with a carrier battle group during a port visit. All the ships would go in except them, they stayed out and a sub tender would come out to them.

Submarine meets a target

Nope seeing a floating minion is definitely a unique sight. The submarine going down the river is also different.
