Dear Invictus Games Foundation, You say the foundation exists to support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel. Everyone agrees with that mission. No one is questioning the courage, sacrifice, or experiences of the veterans who compete. They deserve respect, recognition and the spotlight. But your statement tries to blur an important distinction. Questioning the direction, leadership, or public image of the Games is not the same as diminishing the experiences of injured veterans. Criticism of how Invictus is being presented is not criticism of the men and women who served. By suggesting that questioning anything around the Games is “disrespectful,” you effectively shield the organizers and the celebrity figures attached to it from scrutiny while placing veterans in front as a moral barrier. If the focus truly belongs on courage, recovery and camaraderie, then the spotlight should remain firmly on the competitors themselves. Yet increasingly the public narrative around Invictus revolves around Prince Harry and especially Meghan Markle, who is neither a veteran nor a participant in the Games. When coverage of an event meant to honor wounded service personnel becomes dominated by Meghan Markle’s appearances, wardrobe and personal publicity moments, it is fair for people to ask why. Especially when she does not even wear Invictus merchandise to promote the Games while reportedly spending lavishly on personal presentation during the events. So I’ve had a minute to think about this ego driven vanity clip #MeghanMarkle dropped for #asever and I have questions. •this seems like a rebrand. Why are there no new products? These are the same products since launch. Same packaging. She has not added anything new besides limited edition crap. •why does it feel like a low rent fashion reel? Today is my first day at OpenAI! I'm joining the Codex team. I'll be splitting my time between building the Codex app and working with developers/entrepreneurs to help them make the most of Codex. As a Y Combinator alum, I'm really looking forward to working with early-stage startups and couldn't be more energized about OpenAI's $2M investment in new YC startups. Despite OpenAI being the largest company I've been part of, it certainly feels like Sam Altman, Greg Brockman and the whole Codex team are in founder mode. I've never seen another startup move as fast as this team does. I'm truly honored to be joining such a brilliant team. As always, it's all about the people... so I'd like to thank Romain Huet, dominik kundel, corey.ching, Andrew Ambrosino, Alexander Embiricos, Tibo, and the rest of the Codex team for their trust. Dagknight technical progress As would be mentioned in a still unshared post by Michael Sutton, the dagknight effort is split into v0 devnet, v1 testnet and v2 mainnet candidate. I’ve been testing the current v0-based implementation in a small devnet with the help of some testers who run nodes and miners with me. The DK work can be thought of as split into two parts: (1) implementing the actual protocol and (2) wiring it up and using it. The testing and development over the last month has been focused on (2). Obviously, DK is a consensus change for selecting parents. What’s not so obvious is that such a change affects DAA, coinbase, IBD, pruning and a lot more. Each of these areas is very sensitive and requires proper understanding to wire correctly. An important consideration and difference from GD is that DK does not focus on maximizing a property like blue work. So to maintain topological properties of blue work, an independent (free) GD implementation is kept running specifically for maintaining blue work. This allows us to keep using the property for topology. Coloring and blue score use the megachain induced by DK. The wiring around DK as of this posting is in a working state, but still needs to be reviewed. Next efforts will be focused on protocol specific components, particularly Tie-Breaking and incremental UMC. Attached are some captures from the internal devnet. The dense DAG image is what happens when things related to DAA or other similar consensus parameter causes a node to insist on their POV. The video is a recent snippet of the KGI running on the devnet showing (perhaps not obviously) DK at work. The current “dagknight” branch is now posted on the main repo. if you have been following me for some time.. you probably have seen my body, great angles, large numbers by my posts.. and as much as i am proud of my journey and the realizations i have had.. i am also super aware of how my content could have been perceived during my journey. i wasn't aware of it in the moment.. but now i really see myself differently. growth is making peace with what you didn't know. it's the vulnerability to admit you didn't know better, and the grace to forgive yourself for it. there is no sense trying to spend your heart beats that you won't get back.. regretting what you did, what you said, what you didn't say, how you didn't take action, etc. what matters now..is how you choose to move. how fast you take action, how fast you are able to see yourself in a different lens, how quickly you are able to self correct. being able to redirect yourself in your own life in my opinion is one of the most powerful tools we have to live better.. and to live truly authentic to who we really are. ps post yourself in the bikini because i will from time to time.. but it will be from a different place. 🤍 #intentionalliving #mindsetshift #quietpower #authenticgrowth #womeninbusiness
