Notably, the panel on Syria doesn't have a single Kurd for representation, even though we all know about the YPJ female fighters who defeated ISIS. Those Kurdish women are there in Syria, and they've been subjected to a brutal massacre just in the last 30 days. There have been... executions, mutilations, and decapitations; women have been thrown off buildings. The women who defeated ISIS have been subjected to a war of annihilation, and of course, not one Kurdish component is present on the panel. They are completely erased in that sense. And who speaks for women? A token Arab nationalist who plays the old card of, "I have a lot of Kurdish friends, so Kurds are represented," and "women are hardworking." She gives a speech of nothing, whitewashing every single massacre and justifying the erasure, on that very same stage, of any other minority that is not Sunni Arab nationalist or Salafi jihadist. She sits there with a straight face talking about the "great work" and the "great talks" that women are having across sects and breaking through factions, but it's totally not real; it's totally not happening on the ground. On the ground, you still have guns with smoke coming out of their barrels and an uncertain ceasefire that could unravel at any moment. But most importantly, you have the corpses of female fighters and civilians alike still riddling the streets, being eaten by wild dogs. And this is the narration. This is the correct response to what’s happening to Erika Kirk and what’s happening on the pro-Hamas Eurasianist slop “right.” And if more people have the courage to say this, I’m talking about people who are doing podcasts and who have lots and lots of viewers, we would be in a different place, but because you have a lot of people who are morally bankrupt they remain silent and pretend like that is the high ground. It’s not because your soul is not worth it a check. And if you are silent in the face of evil, that is the same thing as evil itself and God will not hold you blameless. I may not know a lot, but I definitely know that.

As a global community, we must respond to weaponized sexual violence wherever it happens, with absolute condemnation. There can be no justifications and no excuses. Rape as a weapon of war is a crime against humanity. Such atrocities have no place in any society or any conflict. Organizations, governments, and individuals who are committed to a better future for women and girls have a responsibility to condemn all violence against women. It is outrageous that some who claim to stand for justice are closing their eyes and their hearts to the victims of Hamas. But amid such inhumanity, we can also see women leading the way forward, As is so often the case. I have met survivors of sexual and gender based violence all over the world. They are the ones who inspire me with their incredible courage and resolve. And I have seen first hand that women are not just victims of war, they are agents of peace. That's why I championed Security Council resolutions recognizing the unique impact of conflict on women and girls and the importance of women in peacekeeping and security, and mandating that peacekeeping missions protect women and girls from sexual violence in areas of armed conflict. You know women on both sides of the current conflict in the Middle East have long worked for a just and lasting peace. I have grieved with Israeli women who have lost loved ones to terrorist attacks, but refuse to believe that peace is impossible. I have talked and listened to Palestinian women who have suffered greatly from the conflicts of the past decades, yet dream of a peaceful future and a state of their own. We honor all the brave women on the front lines of conflict by lifting up their voices and bearing witness to the crimes they have endured. I urge everyone present to make your position clear. Right now, every single Kurd is Deniz Undav. Because there isn’t a single Kurd living across Iran, Iraq, Turkey, or Syria who hasn’t experienced the intense, open, and violent racism that world famous Kurdish-German striker Deniz Undav faced on the field yesterday. To be a Kurd is to be the other: the ostracised, the silenced, the erased. They only want a Kurd who is cowed. A Kurd who never fights back. A Kurd who accepts silence. Or worse, a Kurd who becomes the “house slave,” proudly serving the very regimes that occupy and destroy our lands. But Deniz’s courage and unwavering commitment to repeating that he is Kurdish, and that he does not “speak Turkish”, is a reminder to us all that the courage of refusing to betray our Kurdishness is the very foundation of why we have remained a nation and a people. A people who have endured decades of erasure at the hands of four united regimes that have lacked even the most basic elements of morality or conscience in their treatment of us. Today, Deniz is our Kurdistan; a beloved son to more than 50 million Kurds whose dream of freedom from the tyranny of our oppressors refuses to die in their hearts.

There is a war against women. It’s called rape. Women are always the first victims of conflict. They are not only raped and kidnapped, but also sold and exploited as slaves. Their pain is never ending. It’s not only a woman that is destroyed when it happens, but the whole community, a whole family. The women of Congo, the women of Sudan, the women of Ethiopia, they all need us. I am today also especially willing to have us remember the women who were violated on October 7th, who were kidnapped and who were raped. This was also rape as a weapon of war. We need to condemn it, and some of them are still held as hostages. I would like to finish by honoring a woman from my city called Nathalie. Nathalie loves to go running in the morning. When she went out in 2016 to run in Vilvoorde, where I live, someone beat her up, raped her, and left her as if she was dead. After that, she went through so much pain, but the perpetrator was free three years later. The pain was so intense that Nathalie requested euthanasia, and she was granted the right to have euthanasia because the pain was unbearable. This is what our system does to women who are victims. The manosphere’s most effective recruiting tool is the discovery that adults did not tell boys the whole truth about women. One reason young guys are drawn to the manosphere is that some of the information they find there is not really offered anywhere else. And some of it is directionally accurate. One thing these guys will say is that women are trained from a young age to be aware of what men can be like. "Men only want one thing, you have to be careful around guys, etc." And so, once girls hit puberty, they have this ambient awareness that men have certain motives and that they should keep their guard up. Boys, by contrast, are not always told the complete truth about what women can be like. They grow up thinking women are like Disney princesses who want nothing but kindness and generosity and empathy. Then a boy enters high school and sees the kinds of guys many girls are actually drawn to. Often it is not the super nice guy. Sometimes it's the bully, or the jock, or the guy who seems dominant and socially confident. If you are not prepared for that, and you are a naive teenage boy, the realization can send you in a very dark direction. You start thinking, “I have been lied to about women my whole life. What else have I been lied to about?” And from there, it is easy to conclude that there is an entire matrix of hidden truths you now need to see through and only the online influencers will show you the way.

The SC has recognised the fact that since women officers were not being considered for PC, the inputs to derive the merits of the women officers have not been done properly because the reporting officers were not conscious of the fact that these Annual Confidential Reports and other credentials would be used for consideration of PC for the women officers… In the Army, the SC has already found that the women officers have been subjected to systemic discrimination through the cases of Babita Punia and Nitisha… The SC clearly held that all those officers who have completed 60% of qualifying service and were clear from the PC and vigilance angle will be considered and granted PC. The officers who have been victims of systemic discrimination will be permitted to serve for 20 years and will be given a pension on completion of 20 years… In the Air Force’s case, the consideration denied earlier was based on a 2019 policy in which the inputs that were taken into consideration were those that women officers could not have earned during their service. As a result, they were denied PC. Both the male and female officers have been granted consideration for PC or pension… The same goes with the Navy because it was also following a policy of no PC to either men or women… They have also been considered for PC… “
