NotebookLLM grokked a rough essay I wrote about "Evolutionary Simulation Theory." It's hard to argue this isn't demonstrating near-AGI level cognition. Insane. I doubt many humans would unpack this as well as it did here. Countless ways to misunderstand it, but it didn't.

To me this suggests that internally Google have some vastly more advanced tech than we've seen. The interaction between the hosts is so natural in places that I'm stunned. My theory is that they've fine-tuned a model on many thousands of hours of this type of two person podcast.

This is sad. I posted about this yesterday because she wrote a nice tribute to him but she has been acting as if she didn't like him in recent years. It's a reminder to not let politics interfere with close relationships, but for me it's hard with people who push it on me a lot.
