🙏 Genius. Who else other than CHRIS CORNELL would even think of covering U2's "One" with the lyrics of METALLICA's "One," let alone pull it off so hauntingly? #RIP

Chris Cornell performing a hit, a classic, and a masterpiece that was created by Soundgarden. It was written by Chris Cornell and recorded in the basement of his house. Cornell says that he played all the instruments in his basement and recorded the song, these lines were told by Cornell on his meeting with Howard Stern in 2007. He believed that it was a bad recording but this is not what we're thinking today. It turned into a masterpiece of the 90s and still one of the most influential songs of all time. Here in this live performance, Cornell plays Black Hole Sun, at CBS This Morning,

No autotune, no nothing, literally just a guitar and a microphone. This is music. An excellent voice, pure, brilliant, and hauntingly beautiful. Sting, a guitar, and Shape of My Heart.

No smoke, no mirrors, no dancers nor backup singers. Just a great talent with an acoustical guitar and a hauntingly beautiful song.

Can a song be a heart-breaker? This one can very well be. Three legends who sang this song are now gone. Prince, Chris Cornell, and Sinead O'Connor. Prince performing a hauntingly beautiful version of a heart-breaker song called Nothing Compares 2U, live at Paisley Park, in 1999.
